That was real nice! Don’t the engineers have a uniform though?
Why do American locomotives need to make so much noise with bells, whistles horns etc !!!
Thank you for a lovely post which shows common decency and niceness. That young lad will likely never forget a train driver talking to him. Maybe he'll be a train driver himself in 20 years? Please keep us posted!! We are not a garbage nation , we are a decent, kind, generous, welcoming people. We are Americans. ❤♥️♥️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Awesome 😎
Americans can be so nice. The little kid will never forget this experience Bravo.
How about the man and the kid exchange places. I am sure both will be thrilled. (I would)
is this Millbury Ohio?
The year was 1970/71. I was 9 years old in Mexico. My Grandma's house was right next to the rail switching section at the end of the tracks, where the train operators had to move forward and then back into a "Y" pattern to reverse direction. One day, my little sister and I stood watching the train when it stopped, and the operator invited us to get on to ride with him in the cabin. These were the days when rules and regulations did not interfere much with common sense and spontaneity. Certainly something special that I treasure and will never forget. The train station is now just a piece of history still standing there, but the rail lines are gone since a new terminal was built farther away from the town.
When I was kindergarten the train past , the engineer would always gave a big wave with the horn and bell 1949………..
It's a constitutional republic! You can't make this up!
2325 Catalina Hollow
We lived on 2 acres and a train track ran parallel to our property. Engineer was working on pushing cars onto the secondary track he stopped and asked me if I wanted to ride on the train needless to say my eyes huge, I road on that train while he worked on the secondary track dropping cars off spent probably two hours even let me run the control for speed a great memory
A great gesture but in most countries it would be totally against the regulations, very dangerous and illegal to just stop a train like that.
Dude I don't normally comment negatively on videos, too each is own, but your constantly reading off the exact letters of each Engine model was just too much and I turned it off. Sorry but it's cool you know all that crap but outside of the train number most of us could care less. Sorry.

@@michiganrailfanfilms353 Alright
It's a good location to film.
making a joyful noise unto the people and the land!...splendid sounds, eh
Not only was the interaction wonderful, but the SOUND OF THE HORN WAS ETHERIAL AND HAUNTING. Train horns, both Steam and Air are inspiring. Doctor George Whitehead
In Harrison Idaho the engineer let me drive the train over a small road it crossed over. I got to blow the horn. 2 short one long... best time ever. That was 40 years ago. 🚂🚉
What City?
And they blame delays on the freight. 😂
The engine is mighty and magnificent. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
where is 1068 now?....it was last reported in roanoke a month ago...the trail then goes cold...any knowledge of where its stored would be helpful as ive been after it for a hot minute
