    Good fucking God. I remember that article back in the magazine days about the plymouth arrow 383 with hemi heads and they said they ended up using 400 blocks, but they wouldn't last long with the technology of the time...they'd Rev em 10k. I'm assuming these blocks here are probably hard blocked and girdled. I also heard stories of big mopars cracking in the main webs and lifter area at around 7 to 800 hp. Obviously these guys know how to prep em for that. I've been wanting to build a 383 I have and do twin turbos or a blower for a street car and make about 800hp, but was worried it wouldn't last. Maybe I'm not so worried anymore.😃

    It's great to see a Mopar engine perform like this. My question is, when will the technology bleed down to a set of affordable heads that could be ordered off Jeg's, Summit, etc. There have been heads available for Chevy and Ford that produce good hp for years. Those of us dedicated to Mopar are left with no choice but to pay if we want to play. I have an altered that I refuse to put a Chevy in but can't afford the Mopar motor I want to put in it!

    Love it , great build. What CR are you running ? It's hard to get a piston for a 400 block unless it is stroked. I'm rebuilding my 400 into a 500 and want to make 1400 hp with Predator heads. This sounds incredible !

    • @NitroNeil
      @NitroNeil 2 роки тому

      I would strongly consider an aftermarket block if you're throwing that much stroke at it. Part of what lets this work and live is the 3.4 stroke. If you dont already have the predator heads, consider the B1 heads if you're going to be in the 500" range.
