I'm so proud of you and you made all of us emotional because i think we can all agree wizard101 was a world where we escaped reality. A world where we felt welcomed. It's been almost 11 years that I've been playing this game and I've met many people there who were very sweet and kind. I'm happy for all of us and grateful for the little memories we were able to make there. I don't know you but i love all my fellow wizards <3

It’s cheesy to say but this game really has some sort of magic in its genes that keeps people coming back

I played Wiz back when I was in elementary school. I stopped in Sophomore Year of HS to switch to WoW and ESO, but during the pandemic I decided I wanted to return and I am so glad I did. I've been playing on and off since then and have 3 Maxed wizards and am excited to start my 4th after I finish playing Dragon Age The Veilguard when it comes out! Wiz has always meant so much to me as a source of inspiration. Through the worlds I developed a deep appreciation for Ancient Egypt, Norse mythology, etc. I decided to major in Asian Studies in part because of MooShu and how much I fell in love with the world (also, thanks to WoW's Pandaria) and Marleybone was a key influence on the setting of my first novel that I self-published this year. Even in the years when I wasn't playing the game anymore, I still listened to the music when I needed a hit of nostalgia. It truly is such a special game, and I am so thankful for the Spiral being a safe place for me to come to when I need it.

I have been playing this game for 10 years, and now that I’m in university it feels especially comfy and relaxing to dive into. I’ve gotten my brothers, a few of my friends into the game, and we just play w101 to chill, it’s such a vibe. The community in this game is amazing, and I feel like we’ve all grown up together. This space has always been here for me since elementary school, and I will continue to be a part of this community until the end of the game’s life.

Dasein… I haven’t been this accepted in a long time. Since I’ve been working on my Wizards, I have noticed a change in many things, how I view the game, and what I like and dislike about it… But most of all… The community is so welcoming in more ways than I could… No… Than I ever imagined. This may be the last community I ever go to, but it’s certainly my favorite of all of them. I’ll admit, I would go for some guidance every now and then, but throughout all of my experiences, both good and bad… Wizard101 as a whole will always hold a special place in my heart, and I’m making sure of it. Even with Wizard101’s flaws, and the flaws of the many worlds, I will be in the game for as long as the game lives… And there’s nothing that’ll change that… Thank you infinitely for this, and the journey isn’t over even after I max all of my Wizards.

I think... the most difficult thing for me was being unable to cope with the ever-expanding roster of labyrinthian progression systems which made it practically impossible for my Wizard to compete versus others at my own level, fair and square. I find it incredibly time-consuming and expensive to even be able to scratch the surface of being able to play PVP at a semi-competitive level. Spellements, Jewel Socketing, and worst of all Pets... All of which require investment into some other extremely time-consuming and esoteric system of progression. Whether it's Gardening, Fishing, or training Pets-all 3 draw from the same pool of Energy, limiting my progression. Later on, Crafting the best Gear/Spellements involves components from multiple of these systems. Several layers of RNG apropos Pets and Jewel Socketing combined with the layers within layers of esoteric progression systems (AND the potential time/money I'm spending towards acquiring Spellements/Boss-Farming/2x Chance Chests/refilling Energy) had completely turned me off from the game about 4 years ago. The last hope I had for playing vanished when they disallowed my Lvl 8 Myth Commander from participating in Ranked. I am completely converted into a Pirate101 player, and unless they revert the inability for players below Lvl 50 to play Ranked, the chances are slim for this veteran of 10+ years returning to Wizarding.

Man I love the 101 games. If anyone played them when they were younger I’d totally say to check them out now and see what’s new and to get some nostalgia!
