    You should sacrificed your queen missed mate in two

  • @ven88
    @ven88 14 днів тому

    The game ended quite nicely. Since you were dominant, I wouldn't have traded queens at 18:00 and would have moved it somewhere on the 2nd rank (d2 or b2) to maintain the pressure. And then following up with Rc8 to threaten Rc1 would be gg. At 4:10, your opponent missed Qa7. Your winning position would have become even again if your opponent spotted it. Now, let's pretend that it's not a blunder and your opponent can't win the knight. The question is where does your knight go? Developing your queen to d7 blocks the knight and bishop, and the pawn on b5 is annoying. On top of all that, the queen on d7 has nowhere to go. It basically gave your opponent a free move. You want to get your minor pieces developed asap in the Dutch.

    2:14 Kf1 instead of Kg1 holds the draw 4:36 again, Kc1 is losing, Kd1 is the move because if Kc3 then Kc1 is a draw 5:50 *** This example is where you did it correctly. Instead of opposing the king on the 1st rank with c1 or e1, you backed up a square staying on the same file as the pawn. Remember this 6:07 King opposition, Ke2 is the only move 6:29 Ke1 allowed Ke3, Kd2 was the only continuation 6:57 Kf1 instead of Kg1, opposing the king is not the key in those situations 9:28 Only move Kg1. Kf1 or Kh1 allows black's king to get the opposition. With Kg1, you're waiting for where black's king is going, and only then you do opposition

    hi, im a really bad player and dont know what your elo is, so if your solution is better and i am doing a worse option then sorry. If thats not the case then i have a trick for queen vs king: Position your queen as if she were a knight checking. If the king goes left, you go 1 left, if he goes down, you go 1 down. if he goes diagonal, you go 1 diagonal. just like magic he will push into a corner without you having to think at all. make sure you leave him 2 spaces in the corner to avoit stalemate. move your king to that side to then do checkmate

    • @JimmyChessin
      @JimmyChessin 19 днів тому

      All good, I know for sure there were better mating moves, but this was more focused on the king pawn and understanding opposition.
