秋葉原を散歩【4K東京街歩き】Japan Tokyo 4K walking tour/Akihabara
主に秋葉原電気街を歩きました。
日中は暑いからか、予想していたよりも路上に立っているメイドさんは多くなかったです。
I mainly walked around Akihabara Electric Town.
There weren't as many maids standing on the street as I expected, probably because it was hot during the day.

      I ate Taiwanese rice balls when I went to Taiwan before, and I thought it was interesting to pair rice and bread, and it was delicious, so I'd like to eat it again.🍙😋 Okubo Station is small and old, even though many people get on and off the station, and it certainly has a nice atmosphere. The traditional soba restaurant bike has a very good gimbal!😁 Chinese restaurants in Japan have undergone a unique evolution, giving rise to various words such as "町中華 Machi chuka/town Chinese" and "ガチ中華 Gachi chuka/serious Chinese."😄

      @@sozorowalk I almost have rice ball breakfast 3 times a week or even more when I was little. There is a rice ball van yatai in front of our elementary school. The ladies make them fresh on the scene, making rice ball none stop at rush hour.😄 Taiwanese are used to eating breakfast at school before class or even during the first class. Most of the time teacher allow students to finish their breakfast during the first class, some of them want you to finish before the class starts, too. And there are some kids who finished breakfast at home. But it is very common to have breakfast at school or at work in Taiwan. We have a huge breakfast shop culture. Even though theoretically that thing is a fried bread. But I always seen it as a crunchy oily food on its own. And it is often when people from overseas sees it that they will point out that "it is a bread". We call it "Oil Stick" in mandarin. And I don't know why, but I have never think of it as a kind of bread before I saw foreigner talk about it. When it is in rice ball, it is like a crunchy ingredient besides other ingredient. And "that is bread + rice" never cross my mind when I was little. To me it is in a similar category as tofu skin, fried tofu skin... kinds of things. Ahhh! it is similar to 天かす!!! Theoretically.... 天かす is also "fried bread"!!! oh wow this opens up a brand new way to see the world. 😂

      @sozorowalk 3 дні тому

      @@mthsu Freshly made rice balls are the best!😄 I'm jealous that you can eat breakfast after going to school and even during class. I wish Japan had that level of tolerance.😒 I heard that Taiwanese people don't cook much at home, and many people eat out for meals.Is it true? While reading your sentence about 油条, I thought to myself, ``Couldn't that be Japanese 天かすtenkasu?'' And you came to the same conclusion.🤣 It's no surprise then that it goes well with rice! In Japan, there is also a dish called ``たぬきごはん tanuki gohan'', which is eaten by mixing tenkasu with rice.😄

    • @mthsu
      @mthsu 2 дні тому

      @@sozorowalk I think what happened is that... eat out in Taiwan is more affordable. And modern generation think it is wrong to push people to cook for the families. So nowadays, if the family needs to eat out that's fine by the social view. The decision to eat out or to cook at home become a choice and there are less pressure. I kind of think that is not that different for Japan? People are less and less bound by traditional rules and roles. And it simply comes down to there are some people eat at home more, and some people eat out more. To discuss this topic, without an academic research and data to back it up, it kind of is just talking about feeling and not that we really know the truth about it... I mean... there are produce market and supermarket selling ingredients to people to cook at home in Taiwan, too. Just like there are restaurants for people to eat out in Japan, too. So it can't be that "people in Japan eat at home, people in Taiwan eat out". But, yes, after all that said. Probably it is correct to say, by impression, people in Taiwan generally eat out more than people in Japan does. 😄

    • @sozorowalk
      @sozorowalk 2 дні тому

      @@mthsu As you say, as society changes, people's attitudes toward home cooking and eating out are changing in Japan as well. I think people are starting to have less negative impressions about eating out, supermarket side dishes for dinner, frozen foods, etc. Many restaurants in Taiwan have an open design unlike in Japan, which I really like.☺ The restaurant and the road seem to be connected to each other, so I can get a good idea of the restaurant's atmosphere and food, making it easy for foreigners to enter.😄

There were even folk tales about Mazu shields places from American bombing in WW2 Being the most important religious figure, hence Taiwanese immigrants brought it to Tokyo. 05:02 After building the Mazu Temple, they also made a place across the street for Taoist God 玉皇上帝(ぎょくこうじょうてい Jade emperor) Which is considered the top god of Taoism.

      @@sozorowalk There is an interesting difference of temple in Japan and Taiwan. In Japanese, temple are usually a Buddhist temple I suppose? which often is accompany by cemetery. So temple kind of link with after life and Buddhism. Taiwanese "temple" like the Mazu temple is more a shrine. and it is often named as a 宮, not a 寺. Mazu Temple usually are 天后宮, a Goddess Queen Shrine. Or a 廟, like 東京媽祖廟. I guess it is because when Chinese temples were translate into English, it all get under one word "temple". But when Japanese are translated, there is a word "shrine" that distinguish shrines to temples. I think it is an interesting little difference worth noting. So when you saw Tokyo Mazu "Temple" there, that is more like a shrine! 😄

    • @sozorowalk
      @sozorowalk 3 дні тому

      @@mthsu It is true that Japanese temples have a ``檀家制度/danka system,'' and many temples have graveyards. A funeral is held at each temple for each family that became a "檀家danka,'' and the remains are buried in a cemetery within the temple grounds. Sometimes when I go to temples in the city, there are places where only 檀家danka is allowed to enter.😕 In that sense, I feel that shrines are more open than temples. The Tokyo Mazu "Temple" also seems to be an open place for cultural exchange between Taiwan and Japan. The red exterior looks more like a shrine than a temple.😄

      @@sozorowalk Yeah! good points. I feel that Mazu temple is a place for public tribute and praying, it is for everyone to walk in. Which is also more like a shrine. Temples like Mazu temple are also often a community center. Where people gather to do things more than just religious things. It is similar to a church community center. Mazu temple and other Taoism temples are often used as a community activity center. Depends on individual places of course, but you may even be able to go there to have lunch or tea with people.

    Because of this video I read some stories about Kabukicho. I am quite surprise by the entwinned history of Taiwanese and Kabukicho. 26:45 風林会館/Furin Kaikan is a Taiwanese building! Since Taiwanese immigrant was already common before the war. And after WW2 Taiwanese were not restricted by the US's post war restrictions on luxury goods, making Taiwanese a major faction in Shinjuku's black market. Furin Kaikan was later built by these Taiwanese immigrants who took part in the construction of Kabukicho. At that time Taiwanese immigrants already have several big building in Kabukicho. Like the old Shinjuku Theatre, old Shinjuku Moulin Rouge... HUMAX building 43:43 and the building across the plaza are also build by Taiwanese. And the place where the newly build TOKYU KABUKICHO TOWER is now. Was also a Taiwanese building before it required by Tokyu. On Hanamichi do-ri, next to 叙々苑ビル (Jojoen-building), in front of the parking lot with host's billboards, there is a building with a billboard 台灣同鄉協同組合ビル (Taiwan Hometown Association Building). Before the late 1980s ,Furin Kaikan and Omoide no Nukemichi, the 花道通り area was a center for Taiwanese business and mafia. When bubble economy bursts. And also at the same time Taiwanese mafia was clear out by the police. Taiwanese business lost mafia protection. So both Taiwanese business and Taiwanese mafia fade out from Kabukicho. One of the major event was in 1987, when several Taiwanese mafia gathered in an apartment in Okubo to negotiate. A big gun fight broke out made a huge mess. Such violence force the police to clean out Taiwanese mafia in Kabukicho. Taiwanese mafia hence lose power. And instead Shanghai mafia, Beijing mafia and others filled in. That is when Omoide no Nukemichi becomes a new Shanghai mafia, Beijing mafia's location. And which later results in the incidents in Omoide no Nukemichi in 1994. which later also results in another downfall of the new mafias...

She previously stayed in Osaka before accept the job in Kabukicho, and she says if she had known how dangerous Kabukicho was, she will not accept the job in Shanghai Xiaochi. Later in 2002, パリジェンヌ事件(Parisienne incident) happened in 風林会館(Furin Kaikan)'s 「Parisienne」 kissaten 26:45 Which some mafia hitmen go into the kissaten and gunshot some other mafias.
