Roof Rack build from Extruded Aluminum or 8020
There are a few reasons you should get a roof rack for your camper van. One of the main reasons is that it will make your life easier. You won’t have to scramble around the car looking for things anymore. It will all be up there on the roof rack and you can just grab it when you need it.
Another reason you should get a roof rack is because it will make your camping trips more enjoyable because you can bring more stuff with you, like chairs or a table. And lastly, they also make your camper van safer because they can help prevent objects from flying off of the vehicle when driving through an area with poor road conditions. Looking for roof racks you find many suppliers, but I was sure we could build a strong, cool looking & light roof rack for half the price. We did it !!!
Additional info:
If needed we can send you the complete kit so you just need to install it.
All we need is the size of your roof rack. color is black or aluminum color.
Need more info, please send me a mail: c.phillips@easyvanlife.be

    Very nice shower pans. Do you custom make them? Can I add a long drain instead of one small round drain? Can you please list some prices? fyi - Please don't add music to any demo, DIY, tour, cooking, or animal videos. It hurts the ears and is very, very unpleasant. There is ZERO benefit to adding more noise to a video.

      I wondered about that too! Lighter than steel and nicer looking. I'm very curious about this. Keep me posted if you find out. I could probably custom build my own with aluminum welding.

    When you said the 3030 aluminum was not strong enough how did you determine that, because I was considering the same thing?

    • @niallfeatherstone
      @niallfeatherstone 2 роки тому

      I was wondering the same thing, I was going to use 3030 aluminium for alot of my van build and even some 2020 aluminium for bits where not as much strength is needed like in cabinets etc

    • @OldAndGettingOlder
      @OldAndGettingOlder 2 роки тому

      I would suggest to always the largest you can rather than the smallest. If 4040 good in the build then use it, even if 3030 is strong enough. This logic has limits of course. Another way to think about it: what you need +. 3030 may work. 4040 would be 3030+. 5050, even if it fit, would be overkill.

    How about using regular alum L-beam, put together first using rivets. Once the cabinet frame is completed, use low temperature solder to solder all the joints together. Much cheaper and lighter.

    Heb je er al aan gedacht om uw zonnepanelen op te richten als de zon laag staat. Heb er al enkele voorbeelden van gezien op UA-cam. Ben van plan dit te doen met electro uitschuifmotoren.

      Heb er naar gekeken, maar de meer opbrengst weegt niet op tegen de complexiteit van de opbouw. Maar is zeker een optie als je voldoende tijd hebt en het gewicht goed onder controle kan houden. Succes !!!

      The first 80-20 I mounted using the pre-drilled holes using self-drilling screws. I did put a rubber over the entire length between the van roof and the 80-20 just to avoid vibrations.

    Enfin quelqu'un qui explique que 80/20 est simplement un nom de marque et non un produit de fabrication. comme Kleenex est un mouchoir. J'essaye de trouver le produit le plus économique avec une qualité égale et j'en ai trouvé peu, j'irai peut-être avec Faztek à Montréal. Ils semblent avoir des prix raisonnables.
