I grew up with this era. I loved it when all the characters of the CN franchise came together, collaborated and having so much fun. The CN “Powerhouse” and “City” eras are my favorites. But post-2007, just don’t fit the nostalgia to me in my opinion.

One of those early memories I have is witnessing the final transition of the powerhouse era bumpers to the CN city bumpers. According to the wiki, powerhouse stopped June 14th 2004, so just 10 days before my 7th birthday. CN city was my favorite and nothing ever topped it.

This will always be the golden era of Cartoon Network, and I’m honored to have been a witness.

I’m just thinking of all the non-Cartoon Network shows that I would’ve loved to see them make bumpers for: SpongeBob, Danny Phantom, Avatar, Dave the Barbarian, The Buzz on Maggie, Winx Club, Making Fiends, Phineas and Ferb, Fish Hooks. That’s just from the top of my head. I love how they recreate the show’s settings regardless of how abstract and simple they are! And how characters with completely different art styles interact!

No wonder Jonny HATES the city. Plank’s in danger at every corner!

Imagine Dexter and Mandy growing up at the same school as teenagers, I personally think that a boy genius who hates his sister getting into his lab and a tough touch of a Mandy could make an excellent future couple.

I remember when they first introduced these bumpers and how blown away I was at how different they were from the powerhouse era bumpers... good times...

Oh please! Old Cartoon Network, Even the city era isn’t that bad!, it has lot’s of creativity and crossovers, and the new one…, HECK NO!, I rather do retro stuff more than that!, modern stuff in cartoons aren’t even funny anymore, they’re just shows that we have no taste in!, I like old cartoons more than the new ones!, We can always enjoy the retrospective times of all networks 😉
