I love the spell idea, maybe you could add a charm spell that make enemies shoot eachother, or something that spawns trees/rocks that interact with the world? A fire/burning spell that sets fire to the environment also sounds like chaotic fun
I think it would be cool if the blink magic had an effect similar to the hunter's running magic from the Owl House series

The game looks great (I watched your other devlog first)! Is there a link for that video you included at 3:00? It killed me 😅 Great job on the project, I’ve been really into procedural generation, but I hadn’t heard of MapMagic until your vid. Unfortunately I built most of the systems myself already, but I’m sure you know that’s how it goes sometimes. I think I’ll be getting the plugin and trying it out, it looks pretty awesome. Thanks for making these videos, devlogs are some of my favorite videos to watch, and you’ve done a nice job here. I look forward to seeing whatever you do in the future.

Can you give the height map image?
Does this map magic allow for "cutting" the ground? So you can have a building that has a underground passage, and it does not have the ground covering the entrance. I was trying to do it with Landscape and virtual texture to "hide" a particular section, but I can't get my head around this at all

One spell that could be cool would be to cast a spell on a spot on the ground. When you step on that spot it shoots you up in the air.

is it possible to add different biomes with the base mapmagic 2 and its just difficult or do you need the paid version to do that
You could do it yourself, but yeah I'd say its difficult

does the procedural world work so it can basically be endless so you can make a true open world game kinda like minecraft
There is an infinite mode, yes, haven't used it though but you can see it in the free version
Hi Zaba_dev Why is this 5:10 a limitation? Is this a limitation in Unity or because you don't want to rig and make custom animations?
The latter, custom animations can equate to as much work as I'm putting into the rest of the project since I'd need to learn from beginner, but it's something that I think would be a majorly useful skill for a solo 3d focused dev.
And mana valley?
I dont want to promote other games, still this explains a lot how similar game Muck was crafted. Anyways, great video Zaba. Your world is on next level.
I'm messing around with hobbying game dev for the first time, and one of my biggest problems is "not knowing what I don't know", especially with respect to tooling assets. Videos like this are really helpful because they show me exactly how beneficial it can be to find and make use of the proper asset for the job. Thanks for the great video!

one day i'll be as good as you i promise and this is so good already i love your efficiency. if this game is inspired by hollow knight make sure to make some abilities related to the biomes, like the biomes will be easier to access and explore if you have that ability. maybe an ability could be destructive in a sens that sometimes you would encounter an area on the surface of the mountain that has holes indicating that you can destroy it with that spell and then you enter thrue the hole you made to the "caves biome" in which many areas are blocked behind walls that you can also destroy using that spell. i'm not sure how good the procedural generation is at creating caves so it's understandable if you avoid such mechanics.
the player model looks off compared to the rest of the world
AoE circle in the Air, that casts ice Spikes down. It should be a spell that lasts only half a secound but can frezze a enemy even mid Air. Would be funny to Combo IT with your Push spell. You would AIM the icespell and you Need to Push the enemy right in the icespell. And fast enough. Because the enemy ist frezzed midair you can follow Up pretty easy and Combo even more.

Change randomly placed treasure chests to randomly placed shrines from an ancient civilization with a gold, silver, or copper idol. Now your world makes a modicum of sense.
