Nissan Cube キューブ Z12 - LED Mod and Glass Roof Sun Shade repair
In this episode i had to fix my broken sun shade of the panoramic glass roof in the Nissan Cube. A broken cord was the problem, so i had to remove the interior, the headliner and the roll up system to repair the sun roll up.
I used the situation to install some RGB LEDs in the glass roof as an ambient light.
These are 4pin RGB LEDs incl. infrared remote control and Y-cable and cost me 50€.

I lowered my Nissan Cube Z12 EU Spec with H&R lowering springs. Now i have Japan Racing JR7 16x7 ET38 with 205 60 16 wheels on the cube. @@timpearce3314 i think its time to chill and calm down. I am an automotive engineer and like to optimize and test things like that. Engineers design in mass production at first to be economical and second to be the best. Dont forget that ;)

Thanks man! This wasnt a kit, plate is a D1 Spec Sandwich and the gauge is from a motorcycle shop. :)

Too bad Europeans didn't apreciate the car when it was on the market. Only couple less than 5800 where sold in Europe. Its a fun quirky city car and not only its ideal for small trips too. The cars of todays are almost all the same as design and they borring no matter how many ps they have. I love these cars, they unique. They great for the price they have on second hand market.

i think it's a cheaper way of driving a Toyota IQ 1.33l . Specs are near the same, but more space. I loved it but had to sell it, because of too many cars in front of the garage ...

Greetings, I have the same car in the same colour in the same country! There are not many of us Cube owners in Germany I think. I also lowered mine by the same amount and it handles really well now. Also I have the same problem with my front bumper when I came to fit my smaller licence plate in a clean way 😅 Your Cube looks really great on those wheels. Nice choice. I look forward to more updates!

Hallo Jumo, ich habe ebenfalls einen Mr 2 W3, seit 13 Jahren. Das Auto macht mir eine riesen Freude. Für mich ist eine Sache sehr wichtig zu wissen. Nachdem du die Vorkats "leer" gemacht hast, hat die AU trotzdem funktioniert? Wenn ja, war es schwierig, oder ist alles glatt durchgelaufen? Das wäre mir eine Riesenhilfe, wenn du mir das beantworten würdest :). LG

Thanks for your comment! I know , i know, problem is the lack of a 3D scanner and that i still want to get some air into the engine bay. The idea comes from the toms air intake, but i'm with you. If you want a design piece, the choice would be a different :D

Vielen Dank für dein Kommentar. Es gibt eine kleine Community in Deutschland, in der ich zugegebener Maßen garnicht so stark involviert bin, wie ich es z.B. bei Honda einmal war. Wäge ab, ob du ein Sunroof oder T-Bar willst und Pre- oder Facelift. Meine Wahl viel auf ein Facelift, da ich es schöner finde und ohne Probleme in die Städte komme ohne ein H Kennzeichen zu benötigen. Klassische Probleme sind neben Rost, bspw. ein undichtes T-bar-Dach, siffende Zündverteiler ORinge und in die Jahre gekommene Bremskolben (fest). Für Adressen und co melde dich gerne via Insta PM. Keine Angst, statisch bricht da ein 2 to. Fahrzeug nicht ein. Vll. wäre es günstig, eine Sicherung gegen horizontal einwirkende Kräfte noch einzubauen. Diese Kräfte entstehen massiv bei abruptem Abbremsen des Fahrzeugs auf der Rampe, oder auch bei Anstoss an einen Überrollschutz. Aber, immer gilt: bitte einen Statiker über die Pläne drüberschauen lassen, wenn auch nur die geringste Unsicherheit über die Tragkraft und Tragfähigkeit besteht.

Hi. Eine Frage. Wie hast du das Auto auf die Rampe gebracht? Mit einem anderen?
Das Fahrzeug kann problemlos über zwei weitere Vollprofilstücke hochgefahren werden. Ich hatte zwei gestützte Holzbretter genutzt. Seit diesem Jahr habe ich die Konstruktion jedoch geändert, nun ist die gezeigte Rampe ab halber Länge auf Endhöhe und vorne abgeschrägt in sehr flachem Winkel 👌
