Yep! Lots of critters! The night vision makes the dogs extra scary looking. It was a pretty decent day and yes, the pork marinade sounded really good. I could smell something cooking in the neighborhood, it must have been that!

Yeah, it's a 20 min walk to work, so it's pretty easy to do. It is a bummer going back for sure, but at least they give me a 2 hour lunch break. That's because I spend 40 mins just walking roundtrip. If I took only an hour, I'd only get to be home for 20 mins. I like my neighborhood a lot, that's why I like walking so much. I also get extra chances to see my critter friends.

Well I think it's a raven because I've seen a large black bird more and more, it's just hard to catch it on camera. It makes that distinct raven call too. We have eagles, ospreys, and hawks, but I've noticed a different dark bird around lately. We have ravens in the countryside, so it seems likely. The magpies used to live out in the countryside too, but they moved into town a few years ago. I think a couple of ravens had the same idea. Work seems to get harder by the day and I'm losing more and more access to my equipment. To make matters even more irritating, the dishwasher in our apartment has died and we're waiting for maintenance to fix it. We've been waiting since the beginning of Dec though! They said the parts still haven't come in yet. We're supposed to get our fire alarm fixed too, but the company that does that is short staffed and I have no idea when they will be able to fix that either. I think I've been waiting over a month on the fire alarm. Everything around me is breaking down. Seeing Pepe makes things a little better though.

@@trishaferreira2309 Yeah, all of us are put out and are having to do way more work. Especially the boss's son, he's the one who has to drive back and forth to Yakima and pick up our dry cleaning. It's costing the store a fortune to have another dry cleaner do our work and they're just doing the cleaning, we still have to press it when it gets back.

He's such a sweet boy! I love visiting with him. I would have played longer if he was on the ground, but I didn't want to get him out of his comfy spot.

We get heat when we get our boiler, which is in 5 weeks. There is heat in the building but it's really only in the lobby. It can't reach the back and could never heat such a large warehouse space. Our customers were freaked out by the estimated time of 5 weeks, but they were even more worried when they saw me coming up to the counter bundled up as heavily as I am! The coffee was very nice. :)

I'm always finding stuff on my walks.

A lot of the customers today were shocked by how bundled up I was when I came up to the counter. They were even more shocked when I said it'll be like this for 5 more weeks! Yeah, the frozen soap was pretty slippery. The coffee really does help when I'm chilled on the inside. At least I was dressed better today, I probably needed the coffee more yesterday.

He used to be a skittish cat, but this time he saw me coming and saw an opportunity to get some attention. I love it when cats talk to me and Smokey had a lot to say!

Yeah, it's going to be rough doing my job without my professional equipment. I'll be ironing all of the town's shirts with a home plug-in iron. I think it's been close to a year since I've been able to use my mechanical shirt press. Smokey was the highlight of my day. He has such pretty eyes!

I guess it was just too cold to party.

Today was one of the coldest days yet! It was warmer even when we had snow coverage.

Yep, I figured it had to be something like that. I just don't know anything about upper county's teams.

I love the magpies, they used to live out in the countryside but they moved into town a few years ago. There's a big family of them that hangout on my block and they especially like to party in my backyard on the playground equipment. I see the crows do that a lot, one will scout while the other eats. Very smart strategy! It's nice to see them looking out for each other. Velcro is a sweetie. Sometimes he slips out of the house and I hear the neighbor's kids yelling "Velcro!" He seems to be a little escape artist.

I'm glad I got to interact with a few of my crow friends. I don't think I'll ever get the attention of that gigantic raven. Dick and Jane's Spot is really cool. Lots of reflector art, bottle caps, and weird statues. It's right next to the skatepark and across the street from the police station. I love seeing all the birds in the party bush! There's a couple other prominent party bushes around town, this is just the one I pass by most frequently.

I'm familiar with the movie, but never watched it. I don't think they are named after the movie, I'll have to ask next time I'm there if I remember.

My walk isn't very long, but things are always happening!

The magpies are so cool, I love seeing them show off. It always looks like they're having so much fun. We used to have a lot of Stellar's jays around here but the magpies moved in a few years ago and I think they pushed them out. I wish I could have caught the Stellar's jays on camera, they were even louder than the magpies! The crows do seem excited when they see me. The one that met me near the skatepark was flicking it's tail a lot after it landed on the telephone line. I often wonder if that's a gesture to show it's excitement.

I used to work one Saturday a month, but lately I haven't been asked to do it. So I had a nice day off with all of the neighborhood critters. :)

Yeah, I had some cool bird encounters! The eagle was awesome and I was really happy to see a crow recognize me. I think I've been able to play music at just about every job I've had, but that's because I was usually working on my own. I've worked janitorial at a few different businesses around town and before this job I worked in the laundry room at a physical rehab/retirement home. I'm sure your local dry cleaning business should be able to take care of your loose buttons easily. If they aren't too busy, they might even get it done right in front of you. I've done that for customers many times and if the customer has a couple of minutes to spare, I'll show them how to do it. I'm happy that I finally got to pet Taco. That house has 4 cats and they are all sooooo friendly!

Boose is great. I like that he doesn't bark, lick, or try to put his paws on you. Very well behaved.

I think they are funny because they are tiny, but act so fierce!

I'm not particularly fond of yappy dogs, but I don't have to live around it so I'm not bothered. I just think they are funny, it's like watching little wind-up toys going crazy. I love stopping to take a peek at the chickens. I know a lot of people in the neighborhood like to stop and see them too.

I know I'm too allergic to have any furry pets, but if I had a cat it would be a 100% indoor cat. I'd worry too much! It was a super sweet kitty though and I'm happy I got to meet it.

I know you don't like it, sorry. It's one of my favorite foods. I have to treat myself from time to time.

The sushi was very good. I eat it rather plain and traditional, I don't really like cream cheese or crab in sushi. Just plain salmon and tuna, those are my favorites. I use to hit up a lot of sushi bars all over Seattle and Portland when I went to anime conventions. I would binge on the stuff the whole weekend I was there.

It's my favorite! I can't really handle wasabi though, I just eat it with soy sauce. I'd say my top favorite foods are sushi, pizza, and steak. I'm also crazy about McDonald's as well. Haha

I can't help it, they have really good fries and I love the fish sandwich.

I saw a little bit of everything today, huh? That raincoat was too funny! Mom got a good laugh out of it. I take screenshots from my daily videos and post it in our Discord group. She saw the pics before seeing the video and was all like "What is that?! I need to watch this!"

It was nice to see our critter friends staying dry. Pepe actually lives in the house on the other side of the alley. The lady who lives in the house he's sitting at lets him in occasionally, or rather he just lets himself in. lol My boots aren't very good. I'll probably buy a new pair sometime down the road, but they are less than 2 years old! They were bad from the day I bought them and I honestly should have returned them. I just hate to buy a new pair when these are technically still new.

They eat well! 😁

Haha, I was just concerned because lots of people were still sleeping and I heard my voice echo in the parking lot as I was barging out the front door. It was nice to see the crows again and Boose is always wonderful! :)

Haha, I didn't even notice that I said bye bye at the beginning and end! I'm definitely having fun with the night vision, we wouldn't be able to see anything on camera without it. I can see just fine, but this is the only way I can record in the dark. I wish we had a lot of crows out here. I think it'd be even easier to gain the trust of a large group because they seem to get brave when they out number you. For New Years I'm just playing Playstation as I usually do. I'm playing "Infinity Nikki" on PS5 and I'm taking lots of screenshots of my character near all the crows I can find in game. 😄

My old boots didn't rub on my heels, but they were so heavy that I got frequent pulled leg muscles. These are much lighter, but there are several problems with my current boots. They don't protect me from the water. I always end up with wet toes, so there's a leak in both. The zipper is bad as well, the zipper constantly tries to eat the lining and is extremely difficult to zip up or down. I've had them for less than 2 years, but these were bad from day one. I'm happy I found Pepe though. The neighborhood kitties are the best! Pepe has a good owner too. Cats usually like me though. :)

Yeah, my boots are really bad. I hate to buy new ones so soon though because these are still basically new.

I've always been a big walker. I really enjoy it and I get my daily exercise. Plus I just really like our neighborhood!
