I was speaking to a coworker who hates SpaceX because Elon Musk's political affiliation and thinks NASA should take over SpaceX etc.... Blah blah.. He was trying to get me to agree that SpaceX should land rockets on the ground using landing legs.. When I told him no one else has done that yet (return from orbit) he says oh, well Blue Origin will show SpaceX how it 'should' be done 😮... 😂😂😂😂

One of these was being used as a fire bomber in Colorado and suffered a spar failure - which was all caught on video. Terrible accident - Tanker 23.

I love how everyone freaked out when it was angled. It is literally programmed to do that angle. It was perfect.

Just excess methane venting around the QD. Normally that methane is recycled back into the fuel systems but during decent it's just vented. Once enough air (oxygen) is present and moving slowly enough, it'll ignite.

Approximately 30 Original Gucci Boys from March AFB were there to watch the Sunset of the KC-10. Pilots, Flight Engineers and Boom Operators. (A lot of grey hair, and so many of us now wearing glasses) I was a FE at March AFB for 8 years, and was an Instructor Flight Engineer at the Travis AFB KC-10 Aircrew Training Center for 22 years. It really was the Super Tanker!

Oh my god I knew I saw this plane!!! I drove right under it on Ellsworth!!!! I had my sunroof open heading south on Ellsworth when I hear this absolutely wave of thunder coming towards me. I look up and see this MASSIVE plane with six engines!!!! And I knew I’d seen that plane before in the movie 2012 and that plane was the Antonov. I knew I didn’t make it up!!!!
