the wk stock in my opinion is better than the commander. Seems higher up stock than the commander, but the older cherokee probably wont be better unless it has lockers, quadra drive 2 is better than full locking diffs. ...well on harder surfaces and turns anyway. I love my 2005 WK. took me places I thought were not possible. its a tires thing also. all your tires look like road tires...overall you have to be impressed with all grand cherokees...they really are a real offroad vehicle...now lifted I have no idea, mine is lifted and I can scale some pretty big rocks, mud...ahh I almost got it stuck once. I had a stump catch my lower control arm..im going to post a after video...from last year.
