Hi Stephen, i am from Germany and looking jnto buying a t7 270 did you have any Mayor problems with it over the years?
No mine has been a good tractor. The main problem has been the air pressure to the air brakes. They worked but the display said there was no air it turned out to be just an earth strap that had to be replaced. Will talk about it on next Mondays video.
good stuff, nice to watch.
Cheers.
Great vid 👍 the muck spreader does a good job 👍 love watching 2 or 3 ploughing Cheers mr have a good week try stay dry 😮
Me 2 but I think it’s going to rain tonight.
I never understand why when you have 2 ploughs going in the same field they don't start in the middle of the field one go one way and one go the other it saves a lot of time on headlands when turning
When ploughing in muck I cannot be in two places at the same time.
@@farmerstephenwhat's being in two places at one time got to do Maic Tyler comment about 2 tractors ploughing??? He made a valid point about one tractor waiting at the headland for the one behind 🙄
I was muck spreading the field. So cannot spread both sides at the same time. Also the furrow needs to be one side. If you started in the middle you would have a furrow both side of the field. The next year you would have almost a ditch in the middle of the field.
Think we have had enough rain now for a week or two, hopefully it has made the ploughing more easier for you now Stephen. Have you started drilling yet ?
No chance of that it’s far too wet now. Another load of rain this morning and some more tonight. Looking like last year already but worse, as its earlier.
@@farmerstephen My thoughts already , we have had a lot of rain over the last few days.
nice see you bury all your trash! see so much laying on the top driving about
Not the best plough man in the world. But I try my best.
@@farmerstephen good work. Thought the whole idea of ploughing was to bury all the trash lol
@tthhoommaass11223344 yeah but looking at some peoples ploughing you wouldn’t think so!
@@farmerstephen definitely not. May as well use a set of discs 😆
@@tthhoommaass11223344 yeah but now would be better with a boat.
Hi farmer Stephen another enjoyable video just a quick comment about the field with the pointed corner counld'nt you pipe the ditch and pull out that section of hedge so you can travel from one field to the other ???
There is a huge amount of water godown that ditch. Would need about a 3 foot pipe during heavy rains.
Another nice video Stephen, that look like it was ploughing nice although it was dry. Was it Canary grass ? what will the straw be used for ?
Ploughing up ok just a struggle to get the plough in.Yes it was canary grass. The canary grass looks just like barley straw so can be used for a variety of jobs.
I thought this video was Farm Simulator 😂 nice plough camera insert 👌🏼 seagulls are checking you’re turning correctly 😝 was that crop linseed?,Back of the spreader 🤔
No not linseed. That’s what I finished on.
@@farmerstephen Oh I thought 💭 canary seed.
Yes that’s right.
@@farmerstephen Fantastic for square bales too!
Yes baled really well.
Is it canary seed
Yes.
Canary grass 👍
Well done.
Do you find those greedy boards keep your spreader cleaner? Another great video
Depends on how full you fill it. But they are sloped outwards so any thing that falls off misses the sides mostly.
@farmerstephen I've just brought the same spreader but made wooden ones up some loader drivers get a bit aggressive and wood is easier to replace then metal. Have you had any other troubles with it?
@simongodfrey1048 been working on it all day trying to sort the night lights.
@simongodfrey1048 that was how ours came. With those metal extensions on.
Any bedtime factored in?
Sometimes.
Evening Stephen, another interesting video. Could you put the odd corners into a SFI Scheme ? or would it be too much hassle.
That’s what I did in that video.
Bit of all jobs getting it done 🙏👍👍
Yeah don’t get bored doing just one job.
Did Rodney spread the slurry?
No I’m afraid not.
Busy bee 🐝 good to see some dry cultivation 👌🏼
Yeah it’s very dry now.
@@farmerstephen looks likely spring crops will be better 🙏🏼
Good to see you cracking on Stephen, nothing like a varied range of jobs . Should be in for a good weeks weather, hopefully all goes well .
Yeah, looks good for this week. Glad as got loads to do.
Great effort Stephen, glad the harvest is done. We need a Rodney or Jamie update, how was their harvest?
Rodney is currently not a farmer. Will have to get one from Jamie.
how many bales a year do you do .
No 2 years are the same.
Oh for remote control trailer 😢 tough loading on your own. Hope the sled is okay 👌🏼
Yeah I thought about a remote trailer as well. L
Well Done Stephen on getting harvest completed, Like you say there is still plenty to do . I always said harvest was the start of the season, not the end like some people think.
Yeah. Since I filmed that I found out I still got to bale some linseed.
Hi Steven another great video. What do you do with all that straw do you sell it to the power station or sell to livestock.
Goes many places.
Are You safe?
Yes of course.
Great lunch!! Lots of work!!😊keep going.!
Yeah was a good one.
Keep on with your great work
I will try.
Amazing work 😊😊
Thanks.
Stephen you'll have to buy me a breakdown truck
Haha, and a water bowser.
When I was on Hesston I had a fire extinguser on the draw bar and one on the steps , you can never be to careful when baling as they ignite in seconds when a bearing go. Hope you got the wheels sorted and back on the sledge, have you got much more to do ?
I have only got around fifty acres left to bale. Sledge repair in next week’s video.
Do you sell the straw or do you use it yourself?
Both.
Sorry to hear about the hot bearing, Steven. 😢 I think you should get one of those thermal cameras just to check for overheating, fires can get out of control so quickly. Hope the sled gets sorted ✔️ that wheel assembly looks like landing gear off a jumbo jet 😜
Sledge repair will be in next week’s video.
@@farmerstephen cool 😎
Cant believe u went under the bale 😮😅a bit annoying about the bale sledge o well atlease your still baling Another week gone 😮cheers
Yeah at least I didn’t have to stop baling.
Another great Video Stephen, nothing worse getting problems with machinery when trying to get on. I am impressed with those trailers .
Trailers save so much time.
JCB seats all squeak the same
Yeah it’s annoying.
Never ending breakdowns 🫣 😂 bale house 🏠 Those trailers should be only ones on roads for bale safety!
Yes breakdowns are getting too common for my liking.
@@farmerstephen Indeed modern engineering seems generally wearing out more quickly than older machines.
@cheechU38K I would agree with that 100%.
No collector at the back of the baler? Saves a lot of time to pick up the bales
Yeah it does when it works.
Stephen I'll have to be your emergency break down fitter
@@kevinmudd931 haha. You would have a lot to do.
But you break more things than you fix 🤔
Oh dear, he cannot be that bad!!
Bugger not good when baler messing around hopefully all sorted now 🤞just got to sort weather 🙏👍
No had another problem today.
@farmerstephen yeah it's raining here and I've hay nearly ready to bale 🤬
@@antonyfarming rained here this evening also.
Another good video Stephen , I know what its to have days when it go wrong its so frustrating. Looked like there was a nice lot of straw .
Yeah mostly wheat straw has been good this year.
Wire issues are a pain to solve. About time these machines had wireless connections to stop rodent damage or accidental exposure. Mostly for sensors anyway that could be powered locally from a small battery that tops up with solar. Not nice when contractors don’t work together with farmers. 😔
I hadn’t thought of the wireless route.
@@farmerstephen shame the wires aren’t hidden away behind protective covers like hydraulic hoses.
When you are fitting a spring use a piece of string it saves the skin on your hands 😮
Cheers thanks for the tip. Will bear it in mind next time.
Mmmmm 🤤 I want to be a combine harvester driver with that menu 😋
Wow, that Jamie chap eats well, I thought it'd just be sandwiches for lunch! Good work Stephen.
We farmers need good food to keep us going on long days.
He is very special stephen
Haha.
Yes I am very special Kevie , that’s why I get a dinner every day, when you are on the brink 😂😂😂
Your just tight
Good update Stephen good to see you cracking on with harvest, hope this weather holds for everyone in harvest.
Cheers, yeah me too.
Nice to see you getting on with harvest, shear bolts are a pain some days but its all part of a baling day.
Yes takes all sorts to make up a day.
Good job 👍
@antonyfarming cheers.
Those trailers save a lot of time
Definitely.
Hi farmer stephen great update any news on merch ? Hats would sell well especially where I live in yorkshire its very cold in the winter ones with Rodneys face on would go down a treat
Haha. Merch is on a stop till after harvest now. Not enough time I’m afraid.
I'll have to come and drive the baler for you , then I can. Be the best baler driver in suffolk
As well as the best hedger driver? Soon you will be a professional.
Hi Stephen, did you once own a Sanderson teleporter? Wondered if that was why you call the Loadall a teleporter? Keep up the good work.
Yes we used to. That’s what everyone round here calls them.
Good vid 👍 bale knotters great when working night mare when there not 😮good looking bales of straw 👍👍
Yeah bales looking good shape this year.
