From the Death Note II soundtrack -Yotsuba Koroshi no Kaigi Shitsu Composed by: Taniuchi Hideki
It feels like an apology that i deserved from my ex husband. It heals my heart in ways i don't think anyone understands.
God I love this
Never heard this song until now. Wasn't on the version of the album I've listened to.
Sounds like an early version of carry this picture.
This sounds like a Tool song in the beginning
great vibes
I was away for a while But I'm hoping someday you'll forgive me But I don't deserve it I'll cherish it well if you give me One of your new starts Just one more last chance I swear that I'll earn it If you front me for now I'm good for it I swear I'm better now I swear In earlier days They'd persecute people They'd carry them off And hobble their legs For lesser offences Than how I have harmed you But still you allow me To walk free of pain Though I punish myself I will never settle The debts I've incurred For scorning the face Of absolute beauty And measureless grace And though I once mocked you I'm dying to pay for it now. I'm dying to pay for it now. So hand me the rocks To help weigh me down And tether my legs with a cord tightly bound to the End of an anchor Thrown in to the sound And test me to see If I Will rise Against The worst That it Can get. I wasn't well for a while I savor the things that I knew Were sure to destroy me And that seemed to hold me That seemed to carry me where I couldn't go On the strength of my own But I should've known That that gets me nowhere I've learned that now I swear I earlier days They'd persecute people They'd carry them off And hobble their legs For lesser offences Than how I have harmed you But still you allow me To walk free of pain Though I punish myself I will never settle The debts I've incurred For scorning the face Of absolute beauty And measureless grace And though I once mocked you I'm dying to pay for it now. I'm dying to pay for it now Now Now So hand me the rocks To help weigh me down And tether my legs with a cord tightly bound To the end of an anchor Thrown in to the sound And test me to see If I Will rise Against The worst That it Can get. Well I wasn't sure that I could Well I wasn't sure that I could Well I wasn't sure that I could But I can.
May be one of the most slept on death note songs
For me that's their best song by far. Forever and always.
Only 184k decent human beings could find their way to this video for the last 15 days.
still on 2022 this is a masterpiece
Creo que la escuche de suerte en un cd de un amigo en el 2010... O 2009.. Fue.. Sublime! Solo este tema.. Es superior a los ultimos 12 años de lo que escuche! Es belleza pura!
I used to know this whole song on guitar.

So underrated
Man.. I remember playing this song to a girl over the phone.. I ended up getting laid later that month..
I wish this was on iTunes

A perfect song. I haven't really much considered looking at it from the angle of him talking about a girl, but I can see it. I look at this song as a way of saying that life is the most valuable of sacred blessings. Earlier, he acted in ways that did not celebrate that fact. Now, he realizes that was a mistake and is making a change. I can definitely relate. Edit: oh, and the positive message of "I wasn't sure if I could...but I can." That is such a central component of life. I just can't get enough of this song. In a sense, it doesn't really matter whether the song is about a girl, life, or God. In the end, I think it's about devoting yourself to something bigger than you are. Whether one man looks to life itself, or some anthropomorphized form of it (God), or to a physical manifestation of one of his ethereal ideals (a woman), that's up to him. But the song is about choosing something and taking it seriously. Iguess that makes sense given that the title of the song is "The end of an anchor". Every man needs an anchor, but it's up to him to decide what it will be. What's at the end of that anchor.
Very well said. I would argue this is his most "deep" song.
Rock and Roll while in quarantine!
i wasn't well for a while, i savored the things that i knew were sure to destroy me and that seemed to hold me that seemed to carry me where i couldn't go on the strength of my own but i should have known that that gets me nowhere i've learned that now, i swear
WHY IS THIS SONG <NOT> IN SPOTIFY? i love it so much its my fav from the album
It's not on Amazon Music either :(
Agreed
just came here now for this very reason 🥲
Neither in Apple music. It was there, I swear.. but I couldn’t find it now.

2023 bruh
It could just as easily be about a relationship with a girl as it is with God. People are so uptight, just enjoy the good song
Weebles what the fuck- I said but just then the womb started to move, claws as big as an arm broke through the flesh. DON'T HURT MY SON- Weebles exclaimed with motherly love but also the cry of Beelzebub, next I remember is seeing Weebles take the biggest amount of LSD I've ever seen a human be capable of, then he offered me a tab, WE ARE GOING TO SEE GOD TODAY- I couldn't refuse so I took it. while laughing Weebles grabbed a knife by the kitchen and stabbed the thing he earlier called his son
i hope youre still alive man.

Underrated song.
Love this Sound YESS

Spooky scawy skeletons
One of the best anime ost that i've heard
This would make a great wrestling theme. Maybe a badass stable.
It's such a shame such a great song isn't more popular...
Just, wah ...
The Lead singer of the DC makes no bones about his being a Christian and some of his music is about his faith. Move on if you don't appreciate it- it's not the first song he did talking about his journey in the faith, and it won't be the last.
How did you get God or faith in general from the lyrics? I'm failing to see how this comment is relevant to this particular song
This is my first time hearing this song, but the lyrics are essentially a prayer to God:I was away for a whileBut I'm hoping someday you'll forgive me Though I don't deserve it I'll cherish it well if you give me one of your new startsJust one more last chance I swear that I'll earn it If you front me for now I'm good for it, I swear I'm better now, I swearIn earlier days, they'd persecute people They'd carry them off and hobble their legs For lesser offenses, than how I have harmed you And still you allow me to walk free of painThough I punish myself, I will never settleThe debts I've incurred for scorning the face Of absolute beauty and measureless graceAnd though I once mocked you I'm dying to pay for it now I'm dying to pay for it now
Andy C why do the religious need to ruin songs by relating them to their vague beliefs that can literally be related to anything and nothing...
@@johnkreynolds86 my friend, these people found what Chris was trying to say when he wrote this song. all Christians use their talents to glorify God. Jesus loves you so much... please don't reject Him. He loves you so much He died horribly to save you... can't you see the beauty in this horrible, chaotic world ruled by evil that Jesus Christ came and preached a message of love, even for your enemies, even for the people spitting on Him and nailing Him to the cross, and then He died and rose again just for us... not because we are great, but because of how much He loves us... please just think about it... Jesus loves you so much you have no idea
@@georgewashingtonrockwell3355 prove one thing of what you are saying please. Do not simply assert that it is true. Life is so much deeper and more interesting than your bronze age fictional jesus story. Get passed it dude. True enlightenment and peace waits on the other side. I did it. You can too :)
Thank you
Chris said he was adding this to his setlist for the upcoming solo mini tour...lucky us!
“I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” -Mahatma Gandhi I agree....wait...why are we talking about religion? oh yea b/c Christians are obssessed...
it's because Chris wrote this song to glorify God and it is very obvious in the lyrics. what people don't seem to understand is that the whole point of Christianity is that no one is righteous and we all deserve to be punished for breaking God's laws, but Jesus died horribly to take our place so we can be free. any Christian claiming to be perfect is a snake but we are commanded to spread the Word to try to lead as many souls to Christ as we can. please try to understand from a loving perspective.
the vocals paired with the guitar in this is just haunting
Anyone know where I can find a tab of this song?

If you know someone who can learn by ear, hand it to them and see if they can learn and teach it to you
This is... beautiful. It could be about God, maybe not. But to me, it is. It reminds me that there's reason for everything.
@danieltuent178 i meant on itunes, because i cant find it there
@j69confessional It was a bonus track on the non-US edition of the CD.
i dont think this song is on this album. But beautiful song! Classic Dashboard!
It's on the UK version as a bonus track.
I love this song and want to put it on my ipod! but i cant find it on UA-cam... So is there any way to download this on my ipod? (Preferably Legal)
