    There are few videos on UA-cam which show the Original Koryo including Kukkiwon animation video. However, (1) each one has a different 1st Kihap. This video shows first Kihap on Pyonjumok Cchireugi on count 5/6. Some videos have the first Kihap on the Pyojok Palkup Chigi. Some on Mureup Chigi. While some do not have this first Kihap at all. (2) Some perform Arae hecho makki on the 10th Count while some perform Anpalmok Momtong Hecho Makki. (3) Some have the second Kihap on the Dangseong Ap Chagi while some on the Dubon Chireugi. Kukkiwon Animation does not have a 2nd shout. Each one have their own interpretation and representation.

    Interesting! My grand master teaches the first movements (left and right) with an inside block instead of the outside block shown here. Not especially surprised, given alllll the different variations of everything imaginable in the poomsaes. 😆😂

    This is definitely a different version of the poomsae than I've ever seen. This makes like four or five different versions I've seen. I sort of wish Kukkiwon would come out with a legacy poomsae book to clear up some questions people have on this form and even the Palgwae poomsae with regard to momtong-makgi techniques.

    Can someone please tell me what does she say before she Begins the Basic Hand techniques ?

    • @taekwondojang
      @taekwondojang 7 років тому

      Rajesh Khilari 기본 요소 kibon yoso - basic elements 짜기 jjagi - starting point 허리들기 heori teulgi - use of the hip 들어막기/지르기 teureo makki/jirugi - performing a block/strike 팔굽치기 palkup chigi - performing an elbow strike (as counter movement) 힘의 약강 himeui yaggdang - controlling force 속도의 왼급 sogdoeui oengeub - controlling speed The English is not a direct translation, but a loose translation of what the Korean stands for. 짜기 for example means weaving. So the point here ist, that in order to weave correctly you need to start at the right point.

    I just recently decided to try to learn this poomsae. This is really an excellent performance. I notice that at step 10 she performs a low opening block, rather than a middle-height opening block as we see in other versions. I don't know which is correct, but this looks nicer.

    • @traditionaltaekwondoramblings
      @traditionaltaekwondoramblings 3 роки тому

      The form was discontinued in 1972 when it was replaced by the new Koryo so what is “correct” is up to the performer. We do have three sources stating a middle spreading block with open hands (Kim Daeshik in his 1971 book), middle spreading block with closed hands (Kim Soo in his 1972 article), and middle spreading block in Richard Kim and Doug Cook’s book based on the original paperwork from creating the form. So if you go by that middle spreading block is “correct”, lower is “incorrect” but then again who are we to say what is correct or not in a form that is no longer “official”?

I've always wondered what they would look like if all the moves and movements were performed in a Kukkiwon style. Here's a link to them all ua-cam.com/users/ITFtuls and maybe a good example of one may be ua-cam.com/video/UIldWDhfddM/v-deo.html
