Thank you man, fixed mine right away
This is a made in Germany, i had this for over 15 years without any issue. If it stop working, get it fixed rather than getting a new one.
Question, my K-elite HE4 does not drain water properly; what if is not the pressure hose. What should I check next? I already changed the water pump
Thank you, that helped me
Thank you! This is the most helpful thing I ever seen so far
Thank you very much for your video! You gave me the courage to fix my 20 years old Kenmore HE4t washer. I took the washer apart (top, bottom, and back panels). My FH/HF issue turned out to be the pressure switch. I replaced the inlet valve and flow meter, and it still didn’t fix the problem. I replaced the pressure switch, the hose was still very new looking and in perfect shape. The machine is now working beautifully!
Absolutely the best diy video for this washer. Mine turned out to be the same hose as yours, but not a pin hole. It was partially blocked but restricting flow enough to cause the error code. This entry is packed with good information that is well presented. Thank you for saving me a costly service call.
Thank you for taking the time to post this. I can't believe you only have 768 likes ( at the time I'm liking this, 9 years after it was posted). I sure hope the UA-cam community shows you some more appreciation.
Your video is still helpful in 2022 thank you so much for making it a long time ago My washing machine is over 15 years old and it still kicking butt
Man, this is a beautiful gorgeous video demonstration. Thank you so much!!!
I had a different error code F33, but it ended up being the exact same issue. The tubing had some wear on it and wasnt providing pressure anymore. $8 for replacement from a local autoparts store. Thank you so much for your video, it was exactly what I needed!
Good overview BUT you missed the last step! In the back, where the black hose connects to the white piece of plastic, it often gets jammed up with gunk! Mine was black with gunk! I cleaned it out and the washer works fine!
Thanks for the video, what did the trick for me was blowing out the flow meter (4:20).
Does anyone have a part number for the switch?
Thanks!! This was our problem exactly! Replaced the hose and cleaned out the tub attachment. Between the two, everything works like it should now.
I had an fh 1 year ago
awesome video buddy..my unit is going on 10 years , time for covers to come off , look for things
Thank you for the video! The hose connected to the pressure switch was worn and by replacing it I fixed the washing machine!
I see quite a few comments are from many years ago. Well, the info contained in your video Houston is still valid. Have been getting an intermittent FH code for a few years but became worst over the last month. So, after watching your video I hauled the dryer off it and started following your advice. Turns out nothing was actually broken! The flow monitoring mechanism just needed to be shaken, drained and blown into. Seems it was a bit stuck, needed exercise! Also the water fill sensor seemed to have become lazy - had to exercise that by blowing into it a number of times until I could hear the micro switches engaging. Basically that was it, no more FH errors for the next six washes!! Oh and cleaning the toothpicks and dimes out of the trap by the pump was a good idea too So, many thanks for taking the time to document what you did to fix the washer. Much appreciated Merry Christmas Mike L 1Dec 2021, Halifax, Nova Scotia
I have a Maytag with this error code. Could not believe that your problem was as simple as a hole in the hose. Mine had the exact same problem. Put some tape over the hole as a temp solution for further testing. Solved the problem. Thanks for making this video, you really helped.
Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge. Your video is detailed enough to get us started on troubleshooting before we call in for service. Your video is much appreciated!
thanks
I changed water values the ,water pump and checked the pressure switch and the hose and I still getting no any thought my e-mail ffe_1966@live.com
Thank you for this video I had the same problem. The pressure hose tubing rub against the tumbler and got a hole on it, Thanks again.
So it was just your hose?
*Nothing fancy here➣>**allmy.tips/KenmoreTWasher?PP** Just a good, well-made washer with a real agitator. It's attractive with simple controls and does a great job getting the clothes clean.*
nice
Thank You! Mine had a blocked tube to the pressure sensor.
Update. After clearing the blockage several times by applying air pressure to the hose was not enough to clear it anymore, I had to take the diaphragm out (9:09 in the video) and clear out the gunk. Back in business.
Didnt run through cycles, just gave me a new code 'dL F' Is it typical that the door lock won't release until repair is made? Just starting the process so not sure what the problem is.
when you measure the solenoid coil with the ohmmeter - disconnect one wire of each solenoid so you measure the coil not the rest of the washer. Good video!
Video really helped me. The other part that that black house is connected to. Not the piece with the red cap. The white part attached to the drum. Was caked with rust and dirt. I took it off. Cleaned it out and the machine is working like new again. This video is definitely recommended
And sometimes if your lucky, it's just the hot water intake that gets clogged behind the filter screen into the intake valve.
How do u know what ea cycle means?
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge - I really appreciate it because i don't have the money for a repair person to come out. Bless you!
Thank's
Thanks!! This video was immensely helpful. I was able to find the problem with my machine using your instruction. Like someone who replied previously, my issue was a sock stuck in the drain pump...seems to be more common than one would think. After I removed the sock, I tried going through the cycle test but still got the FH error. I then disconnected the pressure switch from the tubing and made sure it was working by blowing into the end. Reconnected everything and re-tried the express cycle... This time the machine worked perfectly...no error! The low pressure from the sock must have somehow caused the pressure switch to lock up. Some have said just tapping on the pressure switch (with a screw driver) also will free it up. Thanks again....saved me the headache of dealing with shady repair guys and likely a bunch of money
Did you mean the test cycle?
Very nice job. Thanks for the help. Worked fine after following your advise.
I followed your directions to the. T thank you for the help and I know for sure you saved me $250 because you know it $100 to come out and what I clean and time it would’ve been another $150
I started with the Error code FH then my control board went out a day or so later. Bought a new CB and the washer worked no error code for about a week. FH code came back so I opened the front and checked the drain to find a handful of coins( various denominations) A BIC PEN, and a big denim patch. Cleaned that out and it ran like new for about a month FH error code came back so im going to check the pressure switch now. Hopefully its just the hose. *fingers crossed* This video was way more informative than Sears Parts Direct people. THANKS DUDE!
I replaced the pressure sensor and the inlet valves and nothing 😡and then I found your video 😁thank you
This was such a helpful video. THANK YOU!
Please help cannot fix put it in diagnostic mode no water is coming into the machine keep getting fh error code I've changed the inlet valve and flow meter cleaned the screens on the back and I am also getting great water pressure and still no water also I drained it and then I was told to look at the pressure switch followed the line from the switch to a clear container which seemed to be clogged cleaned everything out of it and still no waster PLEASE HELP at a dead end thank you
kerry wright disconnect the hose from the back of the machine and turn house water valve on to make sure you have water coming out of hose. Some of the hoses are anti flood and will stop water from coming out
Thanks for the reply houston grier I did that and have really good pressure coming out from hot and cold somebody was telling me to change drain motor but I don't think that's going to fix my problem
Any idea how to do a diagnostic on my he5t machine when I can't get the machine to turn on by hitting the "ON" button? No one I've talked to has an answer other than to replace the machine. I'm thinking that one of the two PCB's on the display panel has a bad/burnt circuit. Not sure how to test them.
thanks!!!
Thank you my brother it was my drain valve had like a piece of wrist band in it and about 70 cents in change you save me some money thanks again
Thanks Houston, Nice amount of info for the fix!
Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge! This video is better than anything I found from the manufacturer!
Incredibly good video covering all issues, including leaks in the small hose connected to the pressure switch.
Thanks Houston! just because of you and your video, I was able to fix my machine myself! Talk about street cred! :-) Def saved me some money! It looks like this is a 1 and done thing, but maybe consider doing another?
