Infinity Rose Fidget Toy Tutorial
This tutorial will teach you how to make a fun fidget toy. I've come up with some new alternate sizes. Here are the specs. (This shorthand will make sense after you watch the video.) BA = bright aluminum, AA = anodized aluminum, epdm are rubber rings. Where I specifically mention Metal Designz, I do so because the toy was designed and tested using their rings, and they give the optimal result. Rings from other suppliers may require some modifications to the toy.
Standard size toy (with BA core): 18swg 1/4" BA or AA outer rings, 18swg 5/16" BA from Metal Designz core rings, 8 rows, 40 length.
Standard size toy (with rubber core): 18swg 1/4" AA outer rings, 16swg 5/16" epdm core rings, 7 rows, 40 length. This rubber core version is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you are making this toy for a younger person :)
Mini size toy (so cute!): 20awg 5/32" AA outer rings, 18swg 3/16" epdm core rings, 7 rows, 40 length.
Macro size toy (the action is slow, but it does turn, and it looks amazing!): 16swg 11/32" BA outer rings, 16swg 7/16 BA from Metal Designz core rings, 9 rows, 47 length.
Keep in mind that you can play with the length of this toy to make it bracelet size.
Have fun!

Moorish Rose Coaster Tutorial
Переглядів 3 тис.3 роки тому
This video teaches how to weave Moorish Rose "in the round." This method is easier than my previous Moorish Rose tutorial series, which taught Moorish Rose using the row method. This coaster is a fun project. I hope you enjoy it! Ignore the intro where I mention my shop, as it no longer exists. :)

Because i dont math well, approx. How many rings would i need for this?
@lisa ellis thank you for being so generous !!!
Gah. I never did learn the difference between right leaning mobius and left leaning mobius. I barely know my right hand from my left. And yet, I keep banging my head against the brick wall that is moorish rose.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for these videos! Moorish rose has been my holy grail and finally your videos make sense!!!!!
I have tried to learn this weave for years and finally because of your tutorials, I did it! I can’t thank you enough. I found it very helpful to use polymer clay to keep the chain in place. I put strips of clay down and pressed the chain into it. It helps keep the rings you don’t want from getting in the way, and it washes off pretty easily without damage to the rings.
Thank you oh my god
You are AWESOME! Thank you so much for the fantastic tutorial!
That looks amazing
An absolutely wonderful tutorial, easy to follow and a pleasure to watch 😊
thank you so much for this tutorial <3 it's really helpful and you make beautiful work
what size are the stabilizing rings you use for the AR 7 bracelet? are they the same as the ones you use for the clasp, 18g 3/16"? edit: went to your coaster tutorial and got the information there! thank you so much for this tutorial it's so helpful in teaching how to finish it off and fix the edges
I just spent a few weeks obsessing over this weave, thank you so much for posting it! I just finished a tiny stainless steel one with 20g 5/32 inside and 22g 1/8 outside and it's my favorite so far. Hoping to try the recommended macro size soon <3
Hey could you help me I got lost on the part where she put 5 rings and then went to connecting
Hace tiempo que quería hacer este tejido, muchos tutoriales y no resultó, pero aquí he Desbloqueado mi nivel...mil gracias
I am excited to try this. I just ordered colored rings just for this. Thank you for sharing
I just wish there was something in writing that I could use along with this and to jog my memory later. *wishful thinking*
But how do you start? Your website also doesn't exist anymore, so how exactly do you make this from the very beginning ring?
Good evening Lisa. 🤗I have a question. The first one I made was with (black)EPDM 16swg 5/16" and 18swg 1/4" rings. This one came out great and sold it immediately. Now I have been questioned to make more but with white EPDM. I started to do so, with the same sizes mentioned. But now it look to 'sloppy' and totaly not nice. I tryed the 16G 1/4" rings but that did not work either. What can I do - why is it not working with the white EPDM and 18G 1/4" and how can I make this right? Do you have advice for me?
Is there any way I could modify the design to work with a different core? I have somewhere around 6000 18swg 1/4”ID rings, and a handful of some smaller 18swg rings, and I really want to make this
Thank you but what if you used 16swg 5/16" epdm or 18swg 3/16" epdm outer rings what would the inner core be and how many rows? thank you again.
Lisa, I am a bit confused about the epdm and not using the dark green for the bracelet.
Not sure what I didn't do right, mine did not stager like yours where you had 5 of each color per row, mine were just straight rows of the same color. Still looks pretty cool, but not the same. Any Suggestions for my next one?
The matte version kit looks like has a continued color pattern at the join that does not break up the pattern. How does that join work?
Do you have any recommended patterns or organization on colors when only using 4 different colors?
Beautiful and so easy to follow. Thanks x
I don't understand. When I try to connect the two ends, there's so much force on the inner rings that they start opening and the inner rings pop off. How are you connecting them so easily?
It is probably an AR problem with your middle rings. This toy works perfect with core rings from Metal Designz. Rings from some other suppliers don't work very well because they're slightly too small. There are two work around. First, you can remove a row, leaving seven. This will loosen things a lot, sometimes even more than you'd like, so you may need to shorten the length a few rings. Second you can add to the length. It'd take a substantial addition. I don't know exactly, but maybe about a dozen rings more. You'll need to experiment. I hope this helps :)
@@lisaellis11 thank you for the advice, I'm currently trying with just 7 rows
Hello. Where did you get those pretty shiny color rings, the ones from Metal Designz are Matte. Thank you.
I get them from Metal Designz. They have a beautiful array of glossy AA rings :)
Hello. This is very cool; I am thinking in my granddaughters. When you said "outer rings" do you mean the color rings? Also please, can you give me an idea about how many rings each color is needed for a bracelet. Thank you for this great tutorial.
Yes, by outer rings I mean the colored ones. You'll use 40 of each color for the toys :)
... it was supposed to be a tutorial and the lady shows half-botoee patterns!? ... A drama
Hi! If you look on my youtube channel, I've added the tutorial that this pendant tutorial refers to for free. It's the Moorish Rose Coaster Tutorial. Just make the first row of the coaster, then stabilize as I show here. Have fun :)
Lisa onde achar argolinhas coloridas p.favor faco montagens, preciso grata. Saúde paz e luz.. aguardo..resposta..ok.
Is it possible to do this with 9 rows? I wanna make a rainbow with trans flag and that would require 9 rows
to answer my own question NO you can't lol. Far too tight and gets pretty difficult putting on the inner rings. maybe with a different ring size but not with 18swg 1/4 outer and 18swg 5/16 inner
I'm sorry I didn't see your comment. Yeah, you'd definitely need a bigger core for 9 rows. I wonder what size would work? If you figure it out please let me know!
Thanks Lisa!! Your tutes are great!!! I learned this weave from you! You managed to get this into my brain. Blessings xx
Can we sell these toys? :)
Of course!
@@lisaellis11 Thank you! And thank you for your generosity!
@@unchaineddesign2712 you are very welcome :)
Thank you very much for sharing ... I know numerous people who will be enjoying these for Christmas!!
You are very welcome :)
I LOVE THIS!! I only hope I can do it justice LoL
AND THANK YOU LISA FOR YOUR GENOROSITY!!! Your tutorials are AWESOME!
Lisa, does this mean that the last set of the color (top) is only 4, making the joining rings the 5th?
Yes :) You've got it :)
Ooh! I'm excited to play now. Thank you so much for sharing this!
You're very welcome :)
Oh wow--thanks Lisa!! <3
You found it already! I'm announcing it's release tomorrow 😁 You're fast! Have fun!
@@lisaellis11 you kidding? I have your notification bell on! ;) I love seeing stuff you do, and getting tutorials from you is just BONUS goodness :)

Can you demonstrate a Moorish Rose pendant from the beginning?
Tried doing this but with a much tighter aspect ratio. The sheet ended up almost unbendable.
Thank you👍💐😀
I'm trying out the six-sided variant to create the beautiful pencil fuse units, but I'm struggling to get it started. Is starting a six-sided version the same way, but with five rings at the start instead of four?
Can you demonstrate a Moorish Rose pendant from the beginning?
I have seen moorish rose pendants with an outer ring. I was wondering if you had a tutorial about how to do that style? I just purchased your coaster tutorial so that I could make these, but I’d really like to try the outer rings version. Are you familiar with what I am talking about by chance?
Is this weave related to Candy Cane Cord? It looks similar to me. CCC is one weave that I have always struggled with. Maybe this will help?
Joshua Diliberto sells the tutorial of this weaving for $ 9, and you are shown free, thanks.
Hello Lisa. I am new doing chainmaille, this is very interesting, the chain looks like the Candy Cane weave, isn't it?. Thank you.
Hi! Pencil Weave and CCC look very similar, but are quite a bit different in construction. CCC can be woven up much faster, but Pencil Weave is lovely for swirling colors :)
why u don t start from the begining for the begines
Love this tutorial, made my day🥰.....but I can't figure out how to start and build my third row....
