I think it's because DKC 2 and 3 have a heavy protection check that when the game genie is plugged in it interferes with the ram which case it crosses the piracy protection line causing the screen to trigger my main guess as to why this only happens with DKC 2 and 3 may be cause they have more ram checks and stuff though that is more of a guess than proven fact! The game genie can also trigger Super Mario Allstars, Super Metroids and Super Punchout's anti piracy if you put in a certain code and possible the original DKC! Other Super Nintendo games allow you to play the game but then randomly crashes and deletes your saves making it frustrating to play and I do like that but I think the screens are more impactful because it's like (You didn't buy it so you can't play) instead of (You can play but then you lose your progress) because then it feels more like a demo! I do wonder why Nintendo stopped putting in piracy protection because of the whole tears of the kingdom situation
Curious if using game genie could trigger the anti piracy screen on killer instinct and ken Griffey winning run ( the other rareware games) as well.

1:36, yes I do understand this is the piracy screen. I thought it was showing the irregularty was detected screen, but it wasnt. thats prolly why it booted normally when I took it out of the game genie. Just kinda assumed it was sumn else and didn't really look at because of the past lol.

Well at the moment you tried to remove the game from the game genie you cut the clip to get it out so it could have been out long enough to play the game normally but you could also be correct since you normally get the irregularity was detected first before the piracy screen

To get Round it, I turn the effect offs before I start the game then soon as the game starts I usually switch it back on.
Super Metroid got the same thing.
The blue screen Anti piracys don't work. Only Dkc 2 and 3 work with the game genie unfortunately.
Well with Super Metroid you need to put in a code to trigger it
When I was a kid I got this screen and was scared lol. Just a bug since when I reset it, it was fine.
That can happen sometimes I guess it's because there may be alittle error that tells it to display the screen

Nintendo filed a lawsuit against galoob for game genie and lost the lawsuit because the changes in game were not permenent. So nintendo found another way to crack down on it.
I think it was moreso a response to the super wild card rather than the super game genie, but the game genie could've definetely had a little sumn to do with those protections.
Is that the only reason Nintendo lost?
I got the unauthorized copy screen when I daisy chained 2 Game Genies with one GG the game booted normally

Wanna make it clear that my gamecube works now, i adjusted the laser a couple months ago
From my experience, the disc drive might just need a potentiometer adjustment, or as most call it, a pot tweak.

I am aware of loading gc games with sd card, just not my thing. I prefer completely authentic
I find that leaving my system on for about 5-10 minutes gets the laser to read.

@@cashfuckingmaniac From my understanding, its not the laser itself that fails, but the capacitors for the laser. It takes some soldering skills to replace them.

@@alice4755 I consider that more a special edition tho. Fnaf 1-3 only had decorations that will only spawn on halloween. You can play the halloween edition of fnaf 4 anytime of the year.

Nice video I really like it! While watching I had another idea for a game mode in Mario maker 3- it'd probably suck but hear me out I think it could be neat- Mario galaxy game mode. Obviously galaxy is a 3d game but they put in a 3d world mode and I think Mario galaxy 2 actually opens with like a 2d section? But yea- so like you have the spin attack and gravity stuff from galaxy obviously adapted to fit 2d but also maybe the option to have the cursor from galaxy? You could either use motion controls or the right stick for it and maybe trigger switches and stuff instead of getting star bits? It's just a little idea I had so yea 😭anyway great video I really liked it!

one thing i would like to call out, its not a real issue or anything since its commonly overlooked, but the penguin suit actually has 3 abilities instead if 2. not only does it slide and throw ice balls, but it heavily alters underwater swimming too.
