Great SHIFT; informative and filled with hope. Thank you!
fantastic interview by Jeri and very good comments by Mike Max on faith and callings. Mike's revelation about racism and suppression after reporting on the 2020 riots is very insightful.
What a fabulous discussion that Jeri hosted! In depth analysis from legal titans on a highly important case with huge implications for social justice.
Thanks, John. Tune in for weekly coverage of the Chauvin trial.
Excellent thoughtful discussion.
Thanks Ron. We will be doing weekly updates on the Chauvin trial. Appreciate your comment!
Ward is a true inspiration! Happy to have worked with him! Julie
Isn't he? So great to hear from you, Julie!
Pastor Ann - Thank you for your devotional. I actually found myself asking the same question concerning 2020 a week or two ago, and I'm happy to share some thoughts. First, I thought that, of course, my family and I are all feeling the stress of the pandemic in our own personal ways. But in good stoic, Norwegian style I am able to say that, "It could have been so much worse for us, and it has been so much worse for many others. How can I not feel thankful and somehow blessed?" None of our immediate family has been infected by COVID, none have lost their jobs, we have each other to lift us up, as well as supportive communities around us. But two real special and surprising outcomes for me in 2020: My youngest daughter is a senior at University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA this year. She was planning to road trip with a couple of friends back to campus this summer, but they backed out due to COVID concerns and I stepped into their place as the road tripping partner of my 21 year-old daughter. It was a truly wonderful once-in-a-life-time experience for both of us, and one which we never would have had were it not for the pandemic. My oldest daughter and her fiancé were scheduled to be married in our backyard in August with a big crowd and a big celebratory party. By June 1st we knew that the event could not happen as planned, but Ashley and Brandon were determined to tie the knot this summer. So we threw all the plans out the window, started over with a very down-sized approach, and it turned out to be the most beautiful, intimate, meaningful day we could have ever imagined! We all now wonder if the small intimate event was not even BETTER than the big party would have been. Today I emailed my work colleagues and closed by telling them a real story that I see as a metaphor for this year 2020: This morning at 6:30 am I was brushing my teeth and my wife, Carol, was just waking up when we both heard a loud crash downstairs. I knew almost immediately that our "real" Christmas tree had fallen down the second time since we put it up over Thanksgiving..... arghhh. Well, like so many other things in 2020, after muttering a few poorly chosen comments, we assessed the damages, picked up all the scattered ornaments, righted the tree and re-balanced it, cleaned everything up and you know .... everything looks pretty good again! :-) May we all support friends, loved ones, our communities and those we don't even know during these times. And may we not allow annoying realities of daily life destroy the spirit of our Christmas celebrations. Merry Christmas! David Narum
In the holiday haste, we posted the wrong video clip from our friends at St Paul’s Church in New Zealand as part of the sermon. Delightful as it was, here is the video that aligns better with the lesson for Sunday (Mary’s Magnificat) as well as the sermon. I hope you watch it! It’s delightful. Plus, Pastor John’s sermon might make more sense now, too. ua-cam.com/video/kWq60oyrHVQ/v-deo.html
Watching from Alabama. Thank you for a great service. God Bless.
Thank you, Kathy and Jeri for this informative video. It was good to get some explanation on how things go. and helped me to see why I have such mixed emotions. Greatful for you two. Jennie Eastman
Thank you Jennie!
God's peace be with you Brian and Kim. Thank you for your many years of service to our Lord. Thank you for the many people you have counseled and the many people you have helped in their faith walk. I am so thankful to have had you as role models in both worship music and in the spoken word.
Thank you. Beautiful.
Thank you, Brian.
Thank you, Pastor Ann. These days require some stopping and thinking of significant moments in our lives.
the trinity is the god of thee antichrist pope and the whore of Babylon catholic church! Even that Pagan Luther identified the Pope as thee antichrist! No Jew worshiped a trinity. Also Saul was never a real apostle. He was a self proclaimed apostle who taught the opposite of the messiah. Yeshua said to not believe anyone claiming to see him so Paul lied. Also Paul needed 470 armed soldiers to protect him Paul defiled the temple and taught against the law of Moses. He was on trial by the real 12 for his very life. That is why he lied when on trial and then needed the Roman gov to send him the military for protection. Paul is the reason christians think that they do not have to keep the 10 commandments. Paul talking about the"unknown god" is him worshiping a pagan god! The 1 who issued the 10 is not an unknown god. Vatican means divining serpent. The divining serpent decided what got into the nt cannon and they perverted the bible big time. acts shows that Paul was not an apostle. it shows that he was a liar and was backed by Rome. consider this. You christians are the many. billions of you. biggest religion on earth. You can not claim to be the few who find the narrow path. this is just basic math! "But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments" (Matthew 19:17)
Thank you, Linda!
