Lake Simcoe Jan.22 2024 under ice: what's with that perch???

#lakesimcoe 2024 first ice fishing under water footage, big school of perch in and out my spot, but whats with that perch on 1:13 mark, who nose dive from the surface down to the mud and torpedoed away in a split second like he has seen a ghost?

looks like a whitefish
i think it is much slimmer than a white fish, and looks more active than a white.
try using a slab grabber for the perch, seeming they were not interested in ur vibrato at all, fished thursday out from beaverton and used 1 slab grabber allday and smashed em! Also for the simcoe bug they look alot more natural without a chunk of worm on it, should just use the bug. cheers hope this helps you out next time.
Thank you for the advice, i got couple of slab grabber will try them. for the simcoe bug i will try without worm too.
