Here's a snippet of Sensei Jack Mumpower discussing the Aikido foot movements (Unsoku, Tandoku-Undo). Mumpower trained with Kenji Tomiki and Hideo Ohba in Japan four nights a week for more than two years while serving in the United States Air Force. Upon returning home in 1959, he opened the first Tomiki Aikido dojo in the United States in Charlotte, NC.

This short video contains original footage of Kenji Tomiki filmed in the 1930's as well as 1950's footage of American servicemen training in indigenous aikido.

This Kyusho-Jitsu seminar was conducted by the late Sensei Larry Beal at an NAA Quarterly Meeting in October, 2008. Mr. Beal was an early student of Jack Mumpower and later of Larry Hildebrand. He was one of the most gifted aikidoists to ever teach in the United States. Sadly, Sensei Beal was tragically killed in a farming accident in 2010.
