Nice video!! Really Cool:)
Have a question from So. California, here in the High Desert I have a young Mexican Avocado tree, that was growing up in the city of L.A. as it grew up I brought it up to the desert thinking it could with stand the temp change and as I introduced it to the very cold temp., that evening the leaves just drop and wilted overnight. From overnight the strange what was in good condition to like a massive shock. I've been trying it in and out of the house to stabilize the temp, and the slight few of the smaller branches also have wilted. The trunk seems to be in good condition and my question is I realize I should have wrapped in up in burlap that day that I Did Not have at the moment. Does this happen a lot when the very cold claimant change and, or did I just kill my young new little friend? Thanks for a reply. Thank you Scott.
Cool!!
Girls dress the worst ever ozy video hope ill find
Cool vid. Enjoyed!
The date is near the Winter Solstice which was celebrated by pagans. The church in Rome thought conversions to Christianity would be easier if they ripped off pagan holidays. Easter is another one.
Yeah, it's this and only this. It's the winter solstice, celebrated for thousands of years. Another interesting similarity between the Jesus story (of whom we have zero credible evidence of him ever actually being born and existing, by the way) is the "dead for three days before rising again" thing. This is exactly what the sun appears to do on the winter solstiice. It stops moving north on the horizon and appears to rest, or die, in the same position for three days before moving south again to start the days getting longer. A genuine reason for celebration. I do not think this is a coincidence.
both of these claims are false
@@sneadcl Which two claims? I made three claims (Claim 1 - The winter solstice has been celebrated for thousands of years; Claim 2 - there is no evidence for the existence of Jesus; Claim 3 - the movement of the sun during the winter solstice) and one supposition (that I believe the resurrection story is linked to the sun's movement during the winter solstice). Claim 1 - There are neolithic monuments aligned to the winter solistice dating back up to 10,000 years, people celebrating a return to longer days is a no brainer. This is a fact. Claim 2 - If you have some evidence for Jesus' existance, show it. The burden of proof is on you. You can't use the bible and don't bring up Josephus or Tacitus whose very brief mentionings have been show by many others to be either forgeries or disputed and highly doubtful. Claim 3 - The movement of the sun is an observed scientific fact. It's apparent 'standing still' during the winter solstice is something of an optical illusion, but it can be observed nonetheless. Supposition 1 - I can't prove this, it may well be false and you're free to claim it is. But it fits with other aspects of sun worship adpoted in to Christianity and makes sense to me. If in fact you're refering to the two claims made by @mariac8360, that both Christmas and Easter were pagan holidays incorporated into christianity - well, there's plenty of evidence for that and it should be easy for you to find it.
Romanians celebrate Christmas on 25, only Ukraine and Russia does it on the "old calendar"!!!
I recommend anyone interested in studying religion from a purely historical and anthropological standpoint check out the Religion For Breakfast video on this same question. But to anyone not curious enough to watch all that since it's a bit long, on the whole sol Invictus controversy, a lot of people mistake Invictus for a god important to all Romans when it seems more likely he was just the patron of the dynasty of emperors who declared six holidays for him. December 25th was chosen, coincidentally, about 60 years after the people mentioned here decided on that whole symmetrical lives, 9 months after his death thing. December 25th was one of the holidays for Sol but the most important was in October apparently. He also mentiond that, funnily, the first mention of Christmas being put on the 25th to co-opt a pagan holiday was made by a random Syrian orthodox bishop who was most likely just annoyed at the Catholics for... Schism reasons.
Uh, Eastern Orthodoxy(Russia, Ukraine, ect) celebrate 13 days later then the rest because the difference between Gregorian and Julian Calendars, and you can blame the calendar swap on Aloysius Lilius. So due to the continuing problem of the Julian Calendar, puts their Christmas 13 days after the rest, so its still Dec 25th...to them when using the "Julian Calendar".
Even with the best aligned henge, without telescopes and standardised calendars it takes 3+ days to determine the sun's motion North from its 'stand still'/sol-stice. Mapping Christmas onto the Winter Solstice makes more sense in Northern regions as more survive the dark time with a season of Good Will. Puritan attempts to cancel festivities might have met less resistance in warmer climes.
Christmas is on the 25th because it fits so well between Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.
The orthodox churches don't question if Jesus was born on 25th of December or in January, they just don't follow the "papal" Gregorian calendar reform which leaves them 13 days behind. And even if some of the orthodox churches already switched to the Gregorian calender, it's still fitting to celebrate the date of the 6th January, which other Christian churches still see as Epiphany. Instead of the "birth day" it's celebrating the visit of the wise men who also brought gifts.
Thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas 🎄
Spot on!!
Huh! I never heard the theory of conception/death date before! Thanks. Scott!

That is in fact pretty cool! +1 sub
Ngl i didn't find this hard to notice at all. We were driving around yesterday and i said to my dad "....is the moon always that big?" and it's not even full yet. I needed this quick video, thank you! Edit: I'm telling you now this channel is about to explode. In a week you'll have tripled your subs. How do i know? You were randomly in mine and others recommended. Now i can say i was here before them hehe.
awesome hair & awesome video, enjoyed learning about our moon 😄
This is just Kepler's First Law applied to the Earth - Moon system. Cool nontheless
This randomly came up in my recommendations and it surprised me to see that this video only has 200 views. I think its really good and I really like your voice. From a film makers perspective Id say that the camera is a little too close, always keep some space free above your head and maybe you should be in the middle of the shot. Also youre quite close to the background which makes the image look very flat. The best way to fix this is by taking a big step forward and add some backlights. I know this isn’t a tv show but these are just some tips to make things look more… professional?
That IS pretty cool. Subbed!
Good info. I was 8 years old when I saw my first blood moon (new zealand) I think I was at 800m above sea level on a trip to a camp it was 11pm n the camp leader stopped the car n got us out n up n the sky was the biggest red tennis ball sized moon I have ever seen, did mention it was red as blood n huge... Never seen one since but hope to (for refence I'm 42 now)
I knew some of this, but didn't realize that multiple supermoons happened in a row! Thanks Scott!
Cool info!
While it is normal to have compulsory preferential voting, it is also possible for a government to allow 'optional' preferential voting. This means that in order for a ballot to be regarded as a 'formal' vote, the voter must number a minimum of ONE square. The voter can, at their option, number as many of the remaining squares as they wish. Ballots are all counted in the same way, but if any ballots of the Loser Loser Loser party are redistributed, & there is no second preference, then, obviously, those ballots remain with the Loser Loser Loser party. Optional preferential voting is pretty rare, but it has happened. If someone feels that they do not wish to cast a ballot, they must still either get a postal vote, attend an out of area voting station, to secure an absentee vote or by other means, have their name crossed off the roll & acquire a ballot paper. This then can be folded & placed directly into the ballot box, or take it into the booth & write some nasty message about politics in general across it, or whatever. This is regarded as an "informal" vote & is not counted. Any variation on the minimum number of numbered squares, as required, renders that ballot sheet as "informal" & it is not counted. The official final results are announced as Party A xxxx votes Party B xxx votes Party C xx votes Informal x ballots The final tally "should" match the number or registered electors, but things like deaths, or living on a mountaintop with some guru in far flung Ooga-Boongastan may prevent every name being crossed of the list.
Wow that very interesting
Deserves more views i agree, But amazing videos u will blow up someday keep working.
Me when I just noticed this video has under 500 views and I was the 30th like Sheesh the editing was actually really solid, didn't realize this was such a small channel! you deserve more views! Keep it up!

More or less! ☄️
That was pretty cool :3
Cozy vibes and good info thanks bruh!
Oddly enough, I have never given this topic much thought. Thanks for the video!
This is so thorough and I enjoy it. Cheers to more channel growth mate
I don't think the balancing hypothesis makes sense, since an easy way to counterbalance larger arms would be to evolve longer tails. Besides, many other dinosaurs of similar sizes and bodies to T.rex, such as the Allosaurus and Torvosaurus, and some with even more extreme body parts, like the Spinosaurus, still retained long arms.
Are we sure they are not used for juggling avocados?
I can't buy in to the they were short to prevent injury. That implies they body was grown to prevent it instead of selection during mating. I think the small arms were used during mating rituals. Kind on a grooming caress. At some point the small arms were a genetic defect that females found attractive or were more affective than long arms. They could have been used for feeding and fighting though, just not in a major way. They could have been used to put counter weight on food or to provide some extra grip in a fight when the other dinosaur was down.
Great video Scott ! I think I need to go to the Museum to see the fossil remains. Thanks 😊
