I’m Renee and I’m crafty.
I'm sort of a "Jill" - if you will - of all trades. I see something - a craft, a hobby, an idea - that interest me and I have to try it at least once, maybe even a hundred times. I am especially fond of sewing, book making, resin and clay crafting - pretty much in that order. I've been @afatesotwisted on UA-cam since 2009. That channel grew into a sewing channel completely by accident. I'll be the first to admit, I had no idea how to handle it. I wanted to do anything and everything, but sewing was what got me to 65k subs. I feel I betrayed my subs by trying to branch out and do more. I'm just too curious and crafty to stick to one creative genre. I've been reflecting, revamping, rethinking, growing and reshaping me.
So, here I am...ready to do the things that I'm passionate about. No drama and no vlogs (unless they're on a crafty topic). If you find me here, please sub, interact, and definitely get crafty with me.

Are you using HTv on both sides?
Nope. Regular faux leather. If it were HTV you would’ve seen me iron it.

I don’t know what you mean by ‘regular vinyl’, but I got it at Hobby Lobby.

Trying again By chance did you get a basics lesson about your machine when you purchased it from the shop? So far you’ve got the understanding that stabilizer is VERY important and then the thread and your needles. Suggestions: go to the stabilizer, thread companies (OESD, DIME(designs in machine embroidery at dzgns), SULKY, Floriani, & even brother, etc) as they have tutorials, projects, live shows and sometimes freebie printouts about the different stabilizers & when to use them. Even YT has lots of tutorials. When you get the hang of if, which I’m sure you will, look into appliqué...another creative outlet using your embroidery machine. Oh & if you go to DIME look into the magnetic hoops (no stretching required) vs the standard one you are using....not cheap but it’s a game changer & they have them specific to your brother. I have the brother innovis8500. Good luck to you & don’t give up. Maureen
