Where is the best to self study computer science on UA-cam??👀
Really insightful video. Did you do honours after your undergraduate?
Thank you! I didn't end up doing Honours for personal reasons but it's definitely something I think is worth doing or at least considering
What level 1 course did you take in first year? And which extra course would you suggest one to take?
I would recommend you do yes! I did Information Systems 1A and 1B, there were from the Commerce Faculty while I was in Science, the only other option I had was Psychology 1A and 1B but I don't know much about it unfortunately
Does computer science at Wits want an NBT? (I'm losing my mind rn)
Yes
@@teenx4524 are you doing it? Because I heard other first years saying they didn't write any NBT
@@teenx4524 did you write an NBT? Wits didn't mention anything about an NBT in every communication with me, so now I don't know
@@dudu4you I wrote as it was required for my course
@@dudu4you I also thought the same till I went and checked the requirements
When you mentioned canon has 18MP "APSC" sensor. You need to term that for Samsung too. 50MP half inch sensor. At any day, DSLRs can never be less to a phone!
Ah, you're right! I did forget to mention that, I do think however the benefit of 8K video recording does give the S24+ an edge in that department but for photography I'm sure a more skilled person would wipe the floor
could you please de-ess the audio next time
Thanks for tip! I'm still quite new to audio, so gonna look and work on this for the next one😅for the devices I definitely wanted to show their raw audio without any adjustments
Look me into an iPhone
Very informative! Learned so much about camera specs
Hi Everyone! Please excuse the audio quality on this video I was testing out a Wireless USB Mic on my phone for this video but we will be back to proper high quality microphone audio in the next one!
thank u for making this video i never knew how difficult computer science was going to be at university.
Its was my pleasure! It does differ from different universities, some are not as Maths heavy and more practical so you will just have to look around and see what's right for you!
Danko for the quick turn around 🫶🏽
Audio is CRISP😭😮💨
Can i please have your now old laptop please 🙏🏾😭 since you now have a gaming pc😢
Unfortunately it's gone to my little brother😅he needs it for school
@@LifeandTechwithSK I was too late 😭
Dude, do another video where you go through the textbooks you used at Wits and the one's you refered to for better understanding.
I'm going to be very honest with you, we never referenced the prescribed textbooks, all the content that was taught in lectures and tutorials was exactly what was in the exams and tests, I sold my text books as brand new, if anything UA-cam helped understand the content better😄
nice build mister
sick🔥🔥
This was such a helpful video. I'm in matric and I definitely want to do Computer Science next year!
I highly recommend it! As long as you have a love for problem solving (and math) you're gonna do great!
hello! i want to talk with you about this build, i have exactly the same and i have some problems with it. pls answer
Hi there! I'm no expert but what problems are you having?
@@LifeandTechwithSK i reset bios to default and now i have huge FPS drop in Games, i have 32gb ddr5 on 6000mhz
@@LixyAleks Did you check that you have the EXPO profile enabled for the RAM so that it is running at full speed? Is it picking up both sticks in the BIOS?
@@nerdzerosk yes, expo its enable, and i Take directx error all the time
Does your GPU usage look high when the frames are dropping? I'm sorry just thinking of things that could be happening but not 100% sure because I haven't rest my BIOS before
You are so smart! What a helpful video ❤🫂
Thank you! I did my best, hopefully it helps people prepare for when they do their degree😂
Amazing this is basically the build I’m doing apert from psu, motherboard and cooler. I payed like 1000€ or 1200€ tho
Insane prices 😭
Thanks boi, I needed this info at work today haha
@@DomDijkstra Ain't no way😂
@@LifeandTechwithSK I'm currently a salesperson at a tech store, this was good info to have. Great video man! 💯

@@Musaa.Sk13 We're tryna cook something😂
These prices are in the stratosphere! Yeeshhh ..
Bro i do CAT in Highschool is an advantage in terms of i want to study Comp sci or Information Tec in Varsity? btw i am in g11
Hi Bafo, unfortunately I wouldn't recommend CAT for Computer Science in Varsity at least from my school, it dealt more with Microsoft Apps like Excel and Access but it didn't teach you how to code using programming languages like C++, Java and C# which is the first thing you do in your first year. I will say they did teach people to code from scratch in 1st year university, it was like basically doing Grade 10 to 12 in 1 year, which isn't easy
@@LifeandTechwithSK Ohhh thnks bro btw IT is not offered at my school and we do some coding using HTML but I think thats the end of it🙏🏿
Ahh I see that's unfortunate, but it's a good intro with HTML, if you dive a bit deeper into CSS and Javascript that would be great, Javascript especially
@@LifeandTechwithSK thank you bro🙏🏿🙏🏿
Link in the short :)
This is a big but... no MEG, that's a BAR

Whats your LinkedIn?
I've added it to the description of the video!😊
Why do you take forever to post 😭
Where is the consistency 😭
I'm trying my best😭I just moved places and I'm working full time so I can only record and edit on Sundays on a good week, I'm hoping to get more time towards the end of the year
Hi I am from the states I have the exact same specs in terms of ram, cpu, and gpu but a 750 watt power supply. You made the right decision on the power supply because in the future you are you future proofing for a very longtime. Enjoy your build.
Hi there, thank you! I mean I still think we're a far way off from our GPUs and CPUs (looking at you Intel) needing 1200W😂But at least I'll be covered, but it was a good deal
How do i transfer from UFH to Wits? And what are the requirements?
I'm not sure unfortunately, I can't seem to find anything on the Wits Website about transfer in between Undergraduate degrees from other Universities, only the requirements for starting it using matric/NSC marks, which is: - APS 44+ - English Home Language OR First Additional Language Level 5 (60%+) - Mathematics Level 6 (70%+) - BOTH National Benchmark Tests (NBTs) English and Maths
now is may 29 2024, and these build setup are still best budget high end pc to be honest. especially if we could find used part.
I’ve got a similar build, a 7600 and 7700xt. Great vid and good build!
Nice, thank you so much! How are you finding the build?
@@LifeandTechwithSK it’s going well and I can play almost every game at high settings on 60+ fps
Nice which games would you have to tone down the settings on?
@@LifeandTechwithSK any game that really dosent go well on amd cards, so stuff like cyberpunk
Nice video mate! If therés something that is a little overkill is the AIO, but it could be good for future builds. Tnx for this. 😇😋
Teach me your ways leafership!
New look 🤩
Nice job m8!
Thank you!
Man....now I'm a little more conflicted about the phone 🤌🤌 It's hard to find an alternative for this Can anyone suggest me a good upgrade from the Realme 9 Speed Edition 5G.... Long name yeah, so yeah anyone help me out a bit
That's understandable😄I can't say much in terms of long term use of the Realme 9 Speed Edition, but in terms of raw specs, you do get a bigger battery (5000 mAh) and screen (6.6") on the Realme and 48 MP main camera, but only a 2MP macro and depth camera. You are capped at 128GB of storage (+ an SD card slot) however just a choice between 6GB and 8GB of RAM, and the chip performance Snapdragon 778G on the Realme seems to be a bit slower than the Snapdragon 888 of the S21 FE, my opinion from this would be that performance and selfie camera favours the S21 FE. But battery life and Main Camera quality favour's the Real Me 9 hope this helps!
You can also only record 4K 30 Frames per second on the Realme main camera and 1080p 30 Frames per second on the selfie camera, where as S21 FE has 4K 60 FPS on both, I think you'll just get better low light quality with the 48 MP Real me.
@@LifeandTechwithSK the picture quality will be much better on the Samsung..... It's getting pretty bad in the realme. I'm worried about the battery life n heating of the sammy, and also about wat u said regarding the camera app tako time to open so yeah
@@LifeandTechwithSK it CAN record in 4k 30 but again the details on the camera are not that great
keep it up
I got one in around January, it's been an amazing phone, just the battery sucks so much, otherwise amazing
Really? I haven't had much problem with the battery honestly. How long does the battery last for you? I normally get a full days worth 12+- hours
@@LifeandTechwithSK I usually get 4-5 hours of sot time,of non stop use, using apps like discord, UA-cam reddit ect,idk if that is counted as "bad"
@Joni-C137 I'm not an expert on it, other factors like screen brightness, using mobile data vs WiFi can also affect the battery life of the phone. I'd have to do a comparison test on phones with bigger batteries🤔
@@LifeandTechwithSK Ye I guess it isn't to bad,I usually have wifi on and auto brightness, definitely an upgrade from my old phone,a Note9,that thing had horrible battery life😂
Does it shows overheating while recording in 4k 60fps for too long ?
I'm going to be honest I haven't actually tried to record in 4k for too long😅I've only seen it happen with opening apps as pop up windows or mobile data for extended periods
All devices heat at 4k 60fps even those dedicated cameras.
Watching it still having a samsung s24 ultra 😂😊😂😂😂
No compromise on that phone!😂😂
I'm going to buy this phone veryy soon❤❤🎉🎉🎉
what case u use?
I use a case from a company called CellTime, the V Armor Shockproof Kickstand

Hey I'm looking to completely switch from intel and nvidia to amd. what's it been like using adrenalin? as well as any issues with drivers?
Hi! I personally haven't experienced any driver related issues, I did find it difficult to tune my fans using Adrenaline to a nice level since I'm using the Lian Li controller so you need a couple of different softwares for that but it definitely provides great metrics for CPU and GPU temperature which was great for benchmarking. Overall my experience has been great!
amazing job❤❤
becareful with that psu cable! Other than dat, nice build and nice pairing , 7600x with 6800xt is gonna be a good match
