Elvis Monroe performs new single "Rebel"
Actually, $40,000 is a pretty cheap price for that guitar, based on its place in R&R history. Hell, a new Rickenbacker 325 will set you back a couple grand without all that mojo and you'll wait 6 months to get it.
Obviously very fortunate to get that guitar back. If he's not going to play in onstage, I'm sure that the RocknRoll Hall-Of-Fame has a place for it.🎸
I gave a guitar to a kid once and when I sobered up I couldn't find the little asshole...fat chance of me ever getting it back...
Final shot was not the Rickenbacker! Lame story, obviously the producers didn't have a clue.
Dang, I should have asked for something. I was at the Factory in 1973 and 74. He did give me some cool photos and a Blue Ridge Rangers Jambalaya Soup Can!
John Fogerty is simply the best!
A musicians instrument is an extension of his Soul.Too loose it is devastating to find it again is a Miracle.
i dont get it, did he just give it away to a random kid for free??
Please don’t get it twisted. Michael Jackson is in a league of his own and must not to be compared. Michael was truly a gift from GOD.
MJ is truly iconic but discrediting Liberace or Elvis is sacreligious
And that’s why Julie is there. She helped him “ Thaw Out “ amongst many other wonderful things she’s done fir John Fogerty. I believe if Julie doesn’t come into his life , things wouldn’t have turned out well for John Fogerty. God Bless Julie Fogerty. 🙏😇
God bless Julie, she saved his live. Thank you mrs. FOGERTY ❤❤❤❤
What’s the password?
I remember seeing 'Acme' in a guitar mag centerfold in 1997. "Currently owned by Lou Derr," it said.
John fogerty is an arrogant jerk
Glad good stuff is happing for jon. he deserved it.........
Can individuals tour this?
yes! www.liberacemuseum.com
A very honest account and allowed by the reporter to tell his story without interuption.
i wonder in what state of mind he was in when he gave that guitar away.
Wiener
No CCR whitout John Fogerty, He is a living legend 👍👍🇺🇸
John Fogerty: LEGEND!
A great story but why was the ending wrong? The narrative said that John and his famous guitar were reunited on stage in Vegas but when we see the end of this clip he's got a different guitar. What gives?
But not with stu and doug
The store that had his guitar for sale at $40,000 should've GAVE it to him! But, I guess everybody is out to make money. So glad he got it back, tho!
Norm's rare guitars, I think.
@@stevepi1 it was
Now back on stage together.... with a Les Paul Gold Top
Wow what a story my friend😜
Now all he need is to get all the other band members back and give all the fans the CCR back. Cause it's the CCR fans who paid & maid em..
Very cool!!!😎👍🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Would love to know the story of that guitar from the time he gave it away until it showed up in the music store.
RickenBACKer
What a great story, so glad for him. What a super Wife too, she is a keeper for sure.
Miss Julie? We KNOW. God do we know. Read his book. Should be titled Miss Julie
Fantastic story! So happy for you John! You should own that famous guitar that you wrote so many of your hits on! Best/PP👍🇺🇸😊🇨🇦
$40k for a price?? Who priced it, Saul Zaentz?
An object is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If I’d had a spare $40000 I would have bought it. Unfortunately I don’t.
So how'd she find it? Where had it been all those years?
And then he doesn't play it?? But still cool, I was sure that he lost this guitar in that terrible flood in Memphis that destroyed some of his guitars and guitars and equipment of so many other famous musicians in storage..
Why people kept a guitar is down there would be on me
He probably retired it off the road so nothing else bad can happen to it. Many artists do this. In fact they purchase guitars that look like their #1's that way the fans are none the wiser. As an example can you picture Jimmy page playing a Gibson LP Black Beauty with three pickups instead of his cherry sunburst LP Standard Flame-face ?
Have to wonder if him giving the guitar away actually saved the guitar from that flood
Great story. Sounds like he’s got a good woman
That is a great story. So happy John got his famous guitar back.
Ugh lame hosts haha!
In that last shot, that Rickenbacher looks a LOT like a Les Paul.....?
2020 - Celebrating 5 0 years of..... COSMO'S FACTORY🎸- THE GREATEST STUDIO RECORDED ALBUM IN ROCKNROLL HISTORY.
I loved Cosmo's Factory and think John Forgerty is absolutely wonderful, but there was an English band named after an insect that made a few albums that might be a tad better...but it's all subjective and I must admit that my friends and I wore out that album in the early 70's along with Aqualung and Tea for the Tillerman.
@@garyodom6574 John Fogerty would probably agree with you, and I too love the Beatles.... along with several other great British bands. But the 1960s ended with....and the 1970s started with, one of RocknRoll's most exciting sounds ever... CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL.🎸
@@t4texastomjohnnycat978 True that!
Beatles were the most overrated bands ever ! only a few good songs CCR Stones hundred times better ! real rock ‘n’ roll
Omg... Dave looks like he just got off a freight train
fogerty is so happy with wife and its awesome to see him so happy. she seems to be an extra special kind of person.
Now let’s see if he actually plays that Ric. There’s a video on UA-cam of Creedence on a riverboat playing “Bootleg.” Tom Fogerty has a Ric 360 also with the Rickenbacker name removed from the truss cover. What’s up with that?
I was just at his show in Vegas this weekend... he didn't "play" the ACME Rickenbacker.... He SLAYED it! Show was awesome, John is a legend, the guitar is a legend, and they belong together. Same guitar he played at Woodstock.
CCR was cool , but John Fogerty was the total package.enough said.!
nope, it was a collective effort & tom, doug, & stu contributed much to the sound, john with hired hands is not the same & why is he playing a gold top @ the end ?
He is a big egoist
@@HHH-vi1wn Loser like you call talent, ego! FO, AH!
@@bbb8997 Doesn’t have, too!
@@HHH-vi1wn yes he is
I saw this guitar in the Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago around 1996 or so. I actually touched it as it was on the upper level within arms reach.
Great story with a happy ending for John Fogerty. I love his music and the songs of CCR.
Very few old time singing artists owned their own music other than the Record Labels. The tiny amount that kept original ownership and the few who became extremely wealthy and were able to buy them from their Music Producer Owners.
gradostax He actually does on the song . but not the distribution of his music . He gets royalties it’s a 50-50 According to Mr. Fogarty
It's a terrible thing when somebody takes part of you. It's a wonderful thing when something that is part of you is returned to you. John thank you for everything. Thank you for your generosity. Congratulations on your success, for being a magnificent human being. You are the exception that proves the point.
He's just a forever legend, thats all.
George Harrison gave guitars away like candy.
video ends with him playing a les paul?
