    Excellent information! The cupping strategy on backhand dinks is a terrific technique to learn. Next time, please leave out the music. Your viewers want to listen to you, not to your music choices.

    Really well explained there. As a left sided player this is super valuable to learn. I’ll have to keep this in mind. So my two handed backhand is pretty reliable almost always. The one weakness I’ve noticed if I try to be aggressive and try to push my backhand dink cross-court to push the other left player back, it’s sailing on me. Virtually all left players are right handed, so now they have a juicy pop up to their forehand. Trying to get it under control. Given my partner a couple plastic tattoos because of it

    I am an IPTPA and have watched your video for players who don't have any tennis background. It is not that simple to throw the ball as if hitting an overhead and I am speaking about women who don't know how to throw a ball. Remember dads and fathers saying to their daughters, "You throw like a girl" so might be good to understand why women can't throw a ball like a man. It might be how our shoulders are built. I have not done a study on it, but had to learn myself on how to throw a football in third grade. My dad was a high school football coach. One thing I have done that has helped the girls I teach, is too place a hat backward on the girls heads and maybe slanted depending upon the overhead being hit. Have them take their paddle back behind their head and take off the hat with the paddle. "Knock your Hat off!" Then "Reach to the Sky" - whatever helps the player to hit an overhead. It is my opinion that most girls without tennis experience or throwing experience will hit a sidearm overhead or face forward without footwork. You're on the right track!

    Good ideas. My wife and I have been doing a similar drill for quite a long time. It has made her hands as good or better than anybody in her play groups. We’ll add these variations.

    Awesome was looking for new drills for the kitchen. quick question though, lets say you are hitting a hard serve, about what % power are you hitting the ball? im trying to emulate your serves and hitting at 95% power and i cant seem to keep the ball in.

    • @JamesIgnatowich
      @JamesIgnatowich 2 дні тому

      I’d say around 90% power! Top spin will help keep the ball in at high pace!
