@chikunejowdo I already have a wet pallet and it's amazing, I've tried using things like cork and painting handles but I've never been able to get on with them for some reason.

@falbihn so I stared with a death guard green undercoat. I used a spray for ease, and I'm not sure if you can get it any more. wow, way to be a fun sponge - you do realise that there are a tonne of people in this hobby who are different levels, and these 'average at best' minis look amazing and achievable? These minis look great. Are they golden demon quality? No, but they were never advertised as that, and it's a very real and achievable target for a lot of people in the hobby. A painted army, regardless of standard, is still painted by someone who's put time and effort into their hobby. Raise people up, don't tear them down. Be better.

@ecuadmail not quite. Nuln Oil is a black wash and strong tone is a dark brown but it could still work just as well

@rogerofsalerno6127 it is a hard judgement call. The shields don't block the rest of the model too much so they're not too bad to paint with the shields on.

@jaystudio_2459 it was a while ago now but I think it was White undercoat, iyanden Yellow contrast followed by a dorn yellow drybrush. Then abaddon Black for the Black, Iron Hands silver for the silver washed with nuln Oil and then highlighted with corvus Black then eshin grey.

depending on where you are from you could get "Combat Arena: Lair of the Beast" ... This model is included and its still available. Its one of those games like Blitz Bowl which can only be bought at selected retailers.
