Mission Statement
The Mustang Museum of America is dedicated to the celebration, preservation, education and display of the Ford Mustang and will provide value to visitors from the general public, members of the Museum and other automobile hobbyists.
The goal of the Mustang Museum is to provide a memorable visit through the life of the iconic Mustang with a display of Mustang vehicles of nearly every year and generation produced, many special models and also display Mustang memorabilia relevant to its history.

Переглядів 9 тис.Рік тому
1979 Ford Mustang Cabriolet built by Ford Styling Department to be displayed at the 1980 Chicago, Detroit and New York Auto Shows. Ford Spent $24,500 in 1979 on this Mustang to create a "Cabriolet" show car. After Ford was done with it, it was sold to a Ford Executive secretary who requested to purchase it at the end of the project. Ms. Noonan only drove it on nice days and today it has just ov...

1968 California Special
Переглядів 1955 років тому
This is a 1968 Mustang California Special. It is a "J-Code" Mustang with a 302-4v engine, 4-speed transmission and limited-slip differential, power steering and power disc brakes. A bench seat and Shelby 10-spoke wheels were added during the restoration. The car was originally Lime Gold with a black vinyl top. It was repainted red sometime in the 1980's then to Grabber Blue when restored in 1999.
1964 1/2 Mustang Pace Car
Переглядів 3005 років тому
This is a 1964 1/2 Mustang Pace Car. Three convertibles were built and sent directly from the factory to Holman & Moody in North Carolina to be specially modified for pace car duties. In addition to the 3 actual pace cars, thirty five convertibles were used as dignitary cars during the Indy 500 festivities. Due to a shortage of Mustangs available from the factory, the 35 were pulled from dealer...

1992 Mustang - Michigan State Trooper
Mustang Monthly Magazine in the early 1980s showed this car with a red c-stripe, which would have been correct, given the red interior. IMO, it looked better that way.
Please more 👍 and please show details such as papers and also documents from the early days. Super nice museum.
What a car, what a museum. Thanks for keeping history alive. Great videos and thank you for sharing.
Another „half“?! Didn’t know that a 1968 1/2 also exists 🤭Thanks for the information, good and interesting to know 👍
If you've never driven a Cobra Jet, they're a blast to drive. I drove a buddy of mines 1968 1/2 GT fastback many times back in the day. Fastest car I was ever in back then. Great memories
At 2:42 you say “ our replica “ , I thought this was 1 of 1
for sale?
The information on your video is true. I am one of Rex Halls daughters. I cried when I saw my daddy's car.
If it is truly 1 of 1 then this car wasn’t just in a museum, it was in Otis Chandler’s museum collection by 1990 and is in the book American Muscle (focused on Chandler’s collection, arguably the first significant and comprehensive collection of muscle cars). At some point the collection was broken up (he may have sold off the muscle cars before his passing) and I saw this car for sale in Redding California. It was a beautifully restored car then and still wore Chandler’s “Vintage” placards in lieu of license plates.
Very cool. What a good find
I'll try making it in nfs
I forgot what this car had but it had some work done to it .
What a tuff car would of been crazy to drive that back in the days when it was new would of been a fast car
Awesome cars the best car Ford ever produced
Tomar strobes
what a badass
One piece of trivia on the 1979 Mustang coupe is that on top of the 1979-only interior door handles the trunk lid is unique to the 1979 and is flatter than the 1980-1993 cars. Why they changed it I really don’t know.
a Toyota was a faster car !! ... by now, monthly INSURANCE payments were more expensive than monthly CAR payments !! ... circus clown cars could fit more people !!
hope you realize nobody wanted these 8 mpg gas guzzling v8's during the mid 70's, regardless, the mustang 2 is very light and a decent handler, makes for an amazing mod.
I've owned three Mustangs....two fastbacks, 67/68 and one 67 coupe . From the outside, I prefer the looks of the fastbacks, but from the inside I like the coupe when it comes to driving....no blind spots and much more room.
OMG !! ... how could you NOT know what CB-HELP means?? have you ever heard of C.B. RADIO ?? (citizen band) (i'm not 100% sure, but im guessing)
Does this have Factory A/C?
I love mustang 🐎 cars. Alabama great job
Friend of mine back in the 70s had 68 + 1/2 GT coupe with the 428 Cobra Jet. It was white with a black vinyl top and red C stripe, sold it a few years later for a pig GTO
Observation: That thing is damaged goods on top of RodeHardPutAwayWet.
Would love to see your State of Nevada Highway Patrol Mustang highlighted.
Lots of shady stories behind this car. And amazing stories! 😂
I remember seeing a magazine ad showcasing the '68 428 CJ. Very impressive. I started working at the Dearborn Assembly plant at the Rouge Complex where all types of Mustangs & Cougars were built as a Tool & Die apprentice in late '68. The engineers that I crossed paths with at the plant said the 428CJ was superior to the 429 Boss from a reliability & minimal tweaking standpoint. They said the CJ was a beast from the get go.
Beautiful and Bad Ass all at the same time
FYI: Ford made three 1968 1/2 GT/CS Mustangs with the 428CJ, and nine High Country Specials '68, with the 428CJ. I wrote the book on the GT/CS (out of print), and did the research on the Shelby prototype coupes; "Little Red", and "Green Hornet" (both on YT) for Craig Jackson.
This car is a piece of junk. 1 of 1 should be none of one
This is a place i must visit in my lifetime. I love all cars but Mustangs will always hold a special place in my heart.
Where is this place located? Is that a silver 82 gt?
We are located Just outside of Birmingham, Alabama at 49 Forman Farm Road, Odenville AL 35120. That is a Silver '82 GT that you spotted.
You need 8 Stanks to catch one 5.7 IROC. 😜
Wow a red Bullitt? You guys have some nice finds!
I would have to see a cast iron block welded up where you couldn't see the damage to believe it because I don't think it is possible.
Set up correctly. Low 13 seconds by 12 if you're lucky. With slicks
Attention to audio, fellas!! Barely could most of it!
Thanks, this was our first video...you'll find in our 2nd video on the cobra jet that we fixed the audio issue with some wireless mics. Thanks for watching!
CB could mean “car breakdown” help. 🤔
Great story!
You need a tripod, mic and better editing software with out watermarks
This was our first video and we are learning, if you check out our latest video, we have a mic and fixed the sound issue. Being a non profit we are on a budget so the software free version to learn is what we started with, moving forward we will work to purchase the license if we like it and eliminate the watermark. We did get a tripod as well but feel we need to be able to move around the cars to show the entire car rather than a fixed video point. But we are evolving and changing as we go along. Thanks for the input.
Looking at the interior of this beautiful 79 , the steering wheel looks a lot like the ESS steering wheel Ford put into those cars that had the ESS package. European Sport Sedan. Pinto had the ESS , Mercury Bobcat runabouts, Granada also. I'm no expert here but I remember seeing some of these as a kid growing up in the late 70s.
I remember the ESS packages back then, I think I still even have some ESS emblems I removed from a Granada back in the 80's.
Subscribed Immediately, as a Mustang owner myself this vid was greatly informative and well done. Please keep'em coming
Thanks! Every car has a story and we'll do our best to tell those stories. Thanks for subscribing!
Wow, what a story. The’68 coupe is my favorite. Glad I found your channel. Hope to make it down there someday. 👍✌️
This is nice, but does remind me of the 1980 Tbird….but with bit more power.
Great video
This is pretty awesome!!! Only think I can think of is the flag means you’re broke down and radio for help 🤷🏼♂️
Great story!
CB stands for Citizens Band Radio. CBs where very common back then
Looking forward to it!
At 11 yrs old in 79 I thought this was the greatest car ever built at the time. Going into the 80s it was modern and futuristic. The first thing I noticed was the tail lights on this one.
