it's most likely silicone oil or mineral oil to cool the resistor. To fix the metal to metal outside resistor is to silver solder it together and you'll be fine,it might read 51.0 ohms when done.

All Hisense TV's unless they have a 10bit panel will only show a max of 4:2:2 chroma. Even the panels with 8bit and dithering to make it 10bit are still 4:2:2. The 7 series is 10bit but for some reason will still only display 4:2:2. Must have something to do with their panel tech.

Actually, never mind my last comment. I followed your advice of using a flat tool and was able to get it off. I was trying to use this curved thing that New Power 99 sent me. Does not work well at all. I ended up using a butterknife and had much more success.

I have a Samsung Note Pro 12.2, so basically the same as yours but just with a stylus. I am trying to replace the battery right now but I CANNOT get that damn back cover off. It is very difficult to get underneath it and pry it away from the tablet. If you have any easy tips for this, I am open to hearing them!
