Two Bears On Tour
United Kingdom
Приєднався 29 тра 2021
Hello, we're Ellie and Martyn and we like to explore places and learn about their history.
We are husband and wife and our viewers have given us the nickname of Mr and Mrs Bear!
Martyn is a keen gardener an ex-serviceman; his interests are military and horticultural.
Ellie likes to do art, crafts and photography and will sometimes write a short poem or two.
Where we choose to film is always a joint choice. Ellie does most of the research and the filming. She also does all of the editing, but Martyn always casts a beady eye over the film before it's published so we're both happy with the end result before you see it.
We named our channel after our two beautiful brown Newfoundland dogs, whom we used to take everywhere with us. Sadly, they're no longer with us, but we carry them with us in our hearts everywhere we go. They loved to go on adventures too.
We hope you enjoy our videos which we aim to publish fortnightly on a Monday evening at 7pm.
Thank you for watching and subscribing.

Join us on a lovely spring walk around the Elizabethan defensive walls of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Berwick’s town walls were built over 400 years ago, but they are still almost completely intact and stand today, as strong as they ever did. They are 1¼ miles in length and they completely surround the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Originally Edward I commissioned a defensive wall around the town, but on...

Nortumberland, one of my favourite places! Not been here but really enjoyed your review. What a lovely cosy channel, really enjoyable. Looked a nice place to stay, just hwat you'd need. The only thing with me for my restricted diet, I'd need a cooker to do my own food.
Great review 😊❤
Morning Ellie and Martyn Hope you are both well Looks a lovely place to stay, what a great room. Great to see Stan. Food looked delicious Always nice to have a good power shower. Great to hear that it's dog friendly. We always are on the look out for good dog friendly places to stay Have a great weekend ❤
Looking invitingly exciting. ❤
A nice spacious room, looked well maintained & bright & cheerful xx😊
Looks a good stopover guys. Even a Ltn extra bed for a friend. 😂😂
I watched this earlier but could only find time to comment now. Looks a good place to stay, very handy for Lindesfarne. Whilst I was watching I wondered if Stan was going to get the spare bed, and you did 😆
That certainly looked comfortable..spacious and a pleasant place to stay. Lovely review Ellie amd Martyn. 🎉🇳🇱🙋🏼♀️🥝
It looks like a lovely place to stay 😊 Stan looked comfy in his own bed!
Lovely photos durham is a great place 😊
Some amazing cars here 😊😍. Great footage ❤
@@MattandBecExplores-lt9vf it was great to see the older cars. My dad had a cortina when we were growing up, it was nice to see one of those too. Brought back some memories. Thanks for watching. Take care, Ellie 🧸🐻
Thank you, lovely to see. My grandfather was a 20 year man in the 49th ( Cameron Highlanders ) from the 1870s until the 1890s). I am watching from Jamaica and ‘ it gars me greet’
@@annabellamarston448 Aw, I hope it brought you fond memories. I also hope that Jamaica is a wee bit warmer than it is here. Thanks for watching. Take care, Ellie 🧸🐻
Fabulous ❤
Morning Ellie and Martyn Sorry we're only just watching this. Hope you are both well 😊 What a lovely tour so interesting Really enjoyed this Have a lovely day ❤
Wow, stumbling upon a classic car rally-what a fun surprise! Those vintage cars are stunning! 🚗That estate looks so picturesque! The perfect spot for a car rally. You might need a winch to get out of that car? 😂 We've all been there!
@@HereToCheers 🤣 I'd definitely need a winch! Fyvie castle estate is beautiful. I've got it on my list of places to vlog 😉
The indoor market often gets overlooked. I really should do a Durham video seeing as it's so close 😊
@@OutandaboutwithAndy 😃 that would be good 👍 I only took a few pics as we didn't have much time, so I can only do a couple of shorts but it's a beautiful city 🧸🐻
What a great car show! There are so many cool vintage cars! Nice classics for sure!! 😊
@@nationalparksprincess3216 Yes, and some of them I remember 🙈🤣
Don't forget 3rd Battalion, The Highlanders, what was a reserve unit made from the 2 battalions of the 51st Highland Volunteers, who were also formed during the amalgamation in 1994, and also marched over the bridge at Craigallachie. And also 6 SCOTS, 52nd Lowland Volunteers and 7 SCOTS, 51st Highland Volunteers, formed in 2006. ;)
@@robbrownfield7677 I agree it's important to remember all the former battalions before they were merged into one large unit. Scotland has such a proud and interesting military history. Thanks for watching. Take care, Ellie 🧸🐻
Awesome my friend. Your channel is the best!
Awesome 👍
Some lovely cars there 👌. Enjoyed as always. Warm wishes from Millionaire Paul 👋
Oooh so many gorgeous vehicles! As a kid, I wanted a Morris Minor because Nurse Gladys Emmanuel had one! Just dated myself 😂
@@grapesodatravels Oh I remember nurse Gladys from open all hours that was fab. There was a cortina at the rally which I remember we had as kids. My dad was so proud of it. I just dated myself too 🤣
Nothing like a glimpse back in time- those were lovely classics alright Ellie and Martyn 👌. Enjoyed that. Happy Friday to you both. 🇳🇱🙋♀🥝
@@IamaDutch-Kiwi it's lovely to see cars with so much character, much better than today’s cars. And the owners take so much pride in them. Have a good weekend Anita 🧸🐻
Like 6 👍 Wow, look at those cars!! We love events like this. Thanks for sharing with us, have a great week. 👍 💯 ❤
@@FloridaFlipFlops they were great weren't they. People take so much care of their cars. Have a good weekend 🧸🐻
A good mix of cars, bikes, and military vehicles there Ellie. The lilac Morris Minor you took a fancy to was one of 350 made to celebrate the millionth Morris Minor in 1960.
@@OutandaboutwithAndy Hi Andy 👋 There were hundreds of vehicles there. I remember the lady telling me it was that colour because it was the millionth morris, but I didn't know there were 350 of them. I wonder how many still exist 🤔 🧸🐻
@twobearsontour From what I've read about 70 still survive.
@@OutandaboutwithAndy oh wow that's a lot considering their age. Wouldn't it be brilliant to see them all together 🚗
@@twobearsontour indeed.
Now this is our kinda video! So many cars and so little time! Love all the old machines, that was grand ❤
@@walkingwithtamson Hello 👋. There were hundreds of vehicles there; some of them I recognised! So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching. I hope you're well. Take care, Ellie 🧸🐻
Hi both 👋sometimes these on the spur of the moment trips are really good and this looked so interesting. Soo many different cars, bikes and vehicles I didn't recognise 😃Stunning location too, and fun that the guys who service your cars were there :) The castle looks beautiful . Hope you're both well 🙂👋👍~ Anna
@@FXWalesAnnaAlf Hi Anna 👋 hope you're well. There were hundreds of vehicles there, we were spoilt for choice. Most of them I didn't recognise either. But I did find the pink/lilac morris cute. Take care, Ellie 🧸🐻
All well here thanks Ellie, just been busy most of the last few months camping on and off so have been delayed getting a new video out 😃 Have a good week :)❤@@twobearsontour
Its very so sad that so many Sottish regiments were either disbanded or amalgamated. As they say Lest we Forget. It is up to us all to keep their memories alive. God Bless them all.

Great event 👍
@@robodrone5662 It's always a rousing sight to see a piper parade. Thanks for watching 🧸🐻

Great capture. The audio was really crisp with the bagpipes and trumpet playing. Enjoyed the history narration too. Super watch...and listen 🙂

What a lovely place. I'd love to see what the puppets in the blue box do! Gorgeous stained glass windows! I think you enjoy exploring the UK like we do. Aren't we lucky to live in such a beautiful country! ❤ N&Nx

Nice video, Ellie and Martyn. Good to see the troops visiting all the local towns.
@@OutandaboutwithAndy It's always good to see parades. It was quite poignant that some of them had served with a soldier named on our memorial. It made it personal to the town 🧸🐻
Oh Ellie and Martyn that was lovely. Here I am sitting in a small town of Le Bresse in France and I am moved to tears. So well done you for capturing this special moment.❤🇳🇱🙋🏼♀️🥝

what a beautiful church, loved hearing about the history. 🙂

It's always a great explore any time one visits an area like this and there is a historic cemetery right beside. I do enjoy reading the stones and learning about those times listed.
@@wendingourway I love reading headstones. Old ones often have the person's occupation on them, something that doesn't happen now. They're fascinating. Bamburgh has such an incredible history. Thanks for watching 🧸🐻
