For this build I made a headphone stand that doubles as a diorama. Featuring woodworking, diorama crafting, and mini painting, I recreate the feel of the cityscapes of Warhammer 40k.

could have cut the bold shot enough to fit inside the cars body since you cut it up anyway
So I had actually thought about that, but I couldn’t keep the bolt straight vertical when moving the car if it was inside. It would just lean and mess up the internals when moving. I probably could have added something inside the car to provide more support for that though.

What an exceptional diorama! You just earned a subscriber. And apparently in Fallout lore, in Vault 90 was a vault where every day a message would be played on a loudspeaker saying “everything was fine” encouraging the vault dwellers not to worry.

He got the gear rails all wrong it’s the bottom rails that move the door
This is true, the bottom does slide on some of the vaults. The mechanism to open the door would have been more difficult to reach, which is why I reversed it.

On the note of the creatives in vault 90 most likely going mad, they're creatives. I like to think at least a few of them would simply consider it to be a higher flavour of inspiration. And they'd probably be all sharing their creations with each other, so I like to think such a community would simultaneously be a highly functional society and an utterly wild collection of the most unhinged individuals you've ever seen :P

Using cork for the broken tarmac was a stroke of genius, it looks so real
I'm so glad I got recommended this, I loved it so much! and btw in the future, if you need something to look like natural rocks, you can just use rock and press it into the foam. it creates a really convincing rock look
