MG Racing Sandown race 3 round 2 May 17th 2015
Richard Milligan racing the Morris Garages/RM Racing (ex Dr Mort Fitzgerald) MGB V8 Roadster at Sandown International Raceway.
Richard experienced some very close racing with Glen Wood at Sandown. Qualifying 2nd on the Grid, he lead race 2 & 3 from the first lap, but wasn't able to fully capitalise on his power and speed advantage over Glen, who had to push his MGCV8 to it's limits to win. Richard was able to manage consistent 1:19's, during the last race on Sunday, with some very close racing with Glen. He had a power advantage over Wood and led him until the last lap, where Glen was able to take advantage of a slower Historic MGB that Richard was lapping to take the win. Richard is currently leading the MG Racing Championship, 1st in class and 2nd in the Vic State Championship.

Richard starts from Pole position and easily wins the 3rd race, which is also the final race of the season. Our ex Dr Mot Fitzgerald MGB V8 proved itself, once again, as the most reliable MGB V8 in its class; being the only MGB V8 left standing by race three.... Part 2 of Round 4; race 2 of the MG Racing Championship at Sandown 22nd July 2012. Richard easily stays in front of Chris Gidney (Fast Road MGZR Coupe), and finishes just behind Adrian Akurst's MGF Cup car (Open 4 cylinder on slicks), proving that a well prepared 50 year old MGB Roadster can still take it to the modern MGF's & MGZR's on the race track!

We easily won race two on Sunday. Glen Taylor broke his diff on the first lap. The race was eventually red flagged (stopped) on the last lap, when Paul Vernal's ZR Saloon lost a front wheel and ended-up buried in the sand trap at Dandenong Road Corner. Round 4, race 2 of the MG Racing Championship at Sandown 22nd July 2012. Richard starts from the back of the grid (position 24), after a DNF on Sat, and has an incredible run through the feild to lead his class on lap 2... finishing 7th outright and 1st in class after 8 laps.

The race doesn't always go to the fastest car. Great driving by both leading MG drivers.
MG did make a few V-8 cars if you were lucky to get one. Very fast and beautiful.
Yes, I raced against that blue MG and Glen Taylor in the 90's. The only time anyone beat Glen was when he broke something.

Fantastic driving from glen at the end. Pushiing through the corners to get enough of a buffer on the straights, great driving.
