That ain’t a cold start, that’s a cry for help 💀

Normal.. cold air is denser that warm air so it's too lean on cold start.. and ECU is set to run little rich on these conditions BUT it does not know that it's actually -57°C.. 😢 Some cars start like hellnuts in -30 and lower but these usually run rich on normal conditions, for whatever reason..

That poor Honda is on life support at this point 💀💀

I calibrate diesel engines for cold start, and I salute the engineers who designed and calibrated this engine. I don't know if an external heater was being used to heat the incoming air or the engine coolant, but eitherway, it is an impressive achievement. Kudos to the team at Honda. Brilliant engineering as always.

If you turn your parking lights on for 5 minutes, the electrolyte in the battery will warm up and then you'll have an easier time cranking the engine.
