Dear students, After today's notification regarding summer term registration for F and AB grade, I received more than 100 messages and calls which is not possible to answer individually. Let me clarify some points. Passing criteria for any subject whether it is theory or blended or comprehensive is 40 marks out of 100. This 100 marks is bifurcated into internal and external of 50 marks each. You need to achieve 40 marks combined. But 25 out of 100 should be in ETE or 12.5 out of 50 which is external part or ETE. How you achieve rest of the marks doesn't matter whether it's IA, MTE or Labs or project. Also remember one thing that IA and MTE marks changes only if you appear for summer term. Backlog exam will change your ETE marks only. So decide yourself how much marks you want to score in a paper. If you want to get 60 marks in a subject and your internal marks is 20 out of 50 then you need to get 40 out of 50 in ETE means 80 out of 100. Another way is improve your marks in internals. For example if you achieved 40 marks out of 50 in internals like you get 20 marks each in IA1 and IA2 and 40 out of 50 in MTE means you achieved 80 out of 100 or you can say 40 out of 50 in internals which is easier to achieve. In blended subjects lab marks are considered in place of IA that is also easier to achieve. Now you need only 20 out of 50 in ETE or 40 out of 100. In this way you can achieve your target easily. For this you have to register for summer term. Summer term is for your help and betterment else you can decide yourself how you want to clear your paper. You are not forced to register for summer term so don't take it otherwise. I hope this explanation will clear your doubts.
