    My needle sits center from left to right but sits really far back against the back of the hole in the needle plate. Is this or should this be adjusted!

    Good grief. Innova couldn't make this a little easier? Too many things to go wrong just to change a foot.

    Great tutorial, I just got leader grips today. I’m alone 99% of the time when I quilt. If I would accidentally stitch my finger do I just hit needle up and try to pull my finger out? Knowing my luck it would happen on a white quilt top.

    Kelly: Thank for for this set of videos. I have a 22" Innova for personal use. It takes me so long to make a top, that every time I have to load the machine, it's like learning all over again. I also use the clip system & picked up one thing in your video that you didn't mention…I noticed that you keep the small clips on the side of the leader! That sure beats searching for them every time I need them so THANKS for that as well as for your super clear and thorough instructions for loading. 😁

    Kelly, Thank you for posting this series of videos. They were wonderful and so helpful to me. I recently purchased a mid-arm machine and have been practicing on muslin and loading the fabric, batting and backing (also muslin) using pins. Today I am loading my first true quilt project using Leader Grips. Your tutorial series is terrific and very much appreciated. Take good care, Elise

    Hey Kelly, is there a reason that you didn't load the front first, so you could skip that step of moving the bulk of the fabric from the back to the front? Thanks!

    I am very new to long arm quilting and found this to be a great tutorial. The leader grips were highly recommended by a friend. Question: On the video, you demonstrated basting the quilt top, batting and backing across the top and down a portion of the side. Do you continue to baste the remainder of the right side of the quilt and then do the left side before quilting (so the quilt is fully basted on three sides before you start quilting)? Or, do you quilt the sides only as far as the machine will allow, quilt, roll, baste the next section of the sides, quilt, roll, baste, and so on? Thanks very much. Elise

    Wonderful video. I haven't even unpacked my new long arm yet and I know now that I have to get these leader grips! Your video sure explained it all very well. The only thing I don't understand is do the dowels come with the leader grips? Thank you!

    Thanks so much for these videos! So informative! I have the Leader Grips but they are so hard to push down I gave up for a while. Just got them back out after 2 years and am trying again. Hopefully, If I keep using them they will limber up. With arthritis it is so hard to push on them. Thanks again

    Thank you so much for your tutorial. I am so excited to learn how to use the Red Snappers. I am a bit confused on how to use the round tube. I know it goes inside a sleeve in my leaders but how is it attached to the frame? Again, I am so very grateful for you sharing your expertise and any help you might give me. Tanya

    • @kbee7222
      @kbee7222 9 років тому

      Hi Tanya, I just noticed your comment today. I usually look at this on my ipad and the comments do not show up there. Sorry for the delay! By now you have probably found out what you needed to know, but the tube is just inserted into the seam allowance on the bottom of your sleeve. Your leaders are attached to your frame in the way your frame manufacturer suggests. Hope that helps and probably old news.

    Hi Kelly. Great video! If one's leaders do not already have a channel for the tube of the Red Snapper, do you simply take off the leaders and stitch one? Any tips or advice for doing that? Thanks for any help!

      Hi a1angiem, sorry just seeing your comment now. Yes, you can stitch a 5/8's seam allowance at the bottom of your leaders. Hope I answered your question in time! Kelly

    Kelly, when you baste down the sides, do you continue all the way down on both sides before you do any of your inside quilting, or do you only go so far as possible, quilt the inside, and then advance the quilt before basting the next section? I am new to long arming and am a new Innova owner.

    • @kbee7222
      @kbee7222 10 років тому
