Thanks for posting this because I DON'T HAVE A HARD COPY of these "Pearly Baker" recordings (except for the one called "three piece mix"). Ginger Lea (Doolittle) Jacobsen our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend has left this world and gone home to be with Jesus. She was born in November 1946 and lived a life devoted to her family and friends and to service. She was a friend you could always turn to when you needed support or an encouraging word. Ginger grew up in Port Townsend attending local schools and the First Baptist Church. She married her high school sweetheart, Paul who was her life-long love and companion. She was the perennial “class mom” for her children and the occasional scout leader for her daughters. She was known for her enthusiastic cheering at her children and grandchildren’s school sporting and music events. Many will remember her loud enthusiastic cheer of, “Don’t let them shoot!“ at PT basketball games. She was very proud when she earned a “fan of the year” award. When she took jobs outside the home she chose ones where she would be able to meet and serve people. She was a docent at the Commanding Officers House and a teller at Quimper (Now Kitsap) Credit Union. She loved entertaining friends, family and class reunions and hosting get-togethers. Some of the organizations she was a member of include the Daughters of Norway, The Port Townsend High School Alumni Association, and the Linus Club. She was preceded in death by her father Vernon Doolittle and her brother Donald Doolittle. She is survived by her spouse of 54 years, Paul Jacobsen; mother Mary Ann Bone; children Julie (Steve) Donah, Bryan (Lubna) Jacobsen, Lenora (Louie) Johnson; her sister Crystal Clark; grandchildren & step-grandchildren Jeremy (Amy) Donah, Daniel Donah, Simeon Hovinbole, Cameron Johnson, Sarah Hovinbole (Espen Bergstrom), and Jewel Johnson; aunt Alyce Hansen; brothers- and sisters-in-law Karl (Sandy) Jacobsen and Greg (Maureen “Sub”) Jacobsen; cousins; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews; other aunts and uncles; her first baby step great-granddaughter; and many close friends. She touched many people during her time on earth. She showed us how love conquers all: even when ALS ravaged and eventually took her life, it never diminished her love for us or our love for her. She left this world with faith in her higher power and in peace, surrounded by her family.
