    I've kayaked the Current 3 times now, but have not done Jack's, would LOVE to do. upper Jacks someday. This stretch looks pretty peaceful too. Water looks high?

      We’ve done all the current from cedar grove to big spring. To me the best section of jacks is above alley spring but you have to do it early in the year. Probably by the end of May. When we did buck hollow to alley spring it was up enough but probably wouldn’t want to do it any lower than when went.

      Thanks! I appreciate it. I really just do videos for myself, family and friends to enjoy. It’s also good for other people looking to do some of the same stuff we do. Glad you enjoyed it.

    How was floating the riffles on the river in a Kayak? I am wanting to take my kids. Any real dicey spots?

      Halls bay near riverton landing is a little drop with whitewater. You’ll probably enjoy that. Nothing really dangerous. I would say the trees down in the river are more dangerous. Just stay away from the downed trees and you should be fine.

      Oh me that’s been a while. I believe it was about 12-14 hours float time. You can pretty much count on 2-3 mph with kayaks if you don’t stop a lot. It’s a beautiful scenic section.

    Once, we floated the Jack Fork, and were out looking for wod for our fire and found a LOT of cut and split oak. We took a lot of the wood back to our campsite and make some of thje best steaks ever with it! YUM. That friend turned out not to be a friend at all, but a Narcissistic Personality Disorder sufferer who hates me now for correctly diagnosing him with his mental health disorder. Right Bryan? ROFL

    I also have an Ascend H12. My only problem on the Jacks was hitting rocks under the water. When I’d hit them in that kayak, it was like hitting a brick wall rather than sliding over them like in my Perception. I can pack way more stuff in my Ascend though! Have you floated the Eleven Point yet?

    • @donaldpresley4536
      @donaldpresley4536 Рік тому

      Yes, we’ve done it a few times. I have a few videos of that river too. We do like our h12 for camping.

      Yes, that is a nice river. Not near as crowded as the current and jacks fork but not as many gravel bars to camp on. It has several float camps though. Thanks for watching and the comment.

    Just a beautiful set or Rivers down there. The only river I’ve been on that has better bluffs and is deeper cut, is the Buffalo River Arkansas. However, that being said, I do prefer the Current and Jack’s Fork, slightly.
