Thanks for the tip! Was watching this in prep. Have way less health but more ram regen I think. Been using sonic shock knockouts + system collapse in this playthrough. Sounds like those should play.

Personally I wouldn't run anything else. But if you had to it would be Wilderflight for surge matching but 2 Special GLs is bad since once out of heavy the GL sustain Damage is kinda bad. So another option you could use is Null Composure with High impact reserves. But Snipers are just going to be better since they don't have a charge time!

I have yet to get a Cascade BnS roll. My drops have been awful! But i was thinking of trying it on strand with thread of ascent for the same type of effect since Im one of the main DPS on my day 1 team so i use strand

Cloudstrike or a surge matching rapid fire sniper is the closest I could get. Don't think we have anything currently that is able to quite do more damage in this type of rotation. Could be wrong though!

You have to do it by using either D2 Solo Enabler on PC or manually blocking the matchmaking ports. Or on console set your year on it to like 60 years in the future

Slightly less dps, but far more total dmg, easier to use, and frees up that exotic slot. I’m kinda curious about some sort of dragons breath mountaintop sniper with envious dps strat.

@@ItsNausicc interesting idea not sure how it would compare as unlike something like envious to cascade on edge transit you would have to swap after the actual shot, making it a time loss to switch. So not sure on how viable that would be. On the subject of edge I think cascade bait is actually quite viable if you're on some sort of insta reloading method such as rdm or rain of fire. Would be interesting to see that idea tested considering that bungie have hinted they will be nerfing the envious swap to cascade.

@@chrisrenemans5026 dragon's breath is honestly pretty terrible in a team setting but I could see it in a solo scenario. As far total dmg goes is not particularly going to be relevant as mountaintop is not something you want to be spamming till empty. Reloading hurts the dps way too much for that to be viable even with a luna well. and if you're using it with something else like a clouds trike or purple energy sniper then the total dmg doesn't come up. As izi pretty much out total damages mountaintop unless you're shooting 10+ shots.

Its not that it outperforms it. This is just showing that it can be nearly as good. In the Izzy clip i could've got 1 more shot off to get slightly higher damage total

Mountaintop is Autoloading Recombination and Edge Transit is Envious and bait n switch

B&S is better for small DPS windows where you need burst. Deconstruct is better where total damage is more important. If a boss has a lot of health, has no health gates, and has a long DPS phase? Then yes Deconstruct is likely better.

no cause void surge will make father sins better, if u put 2 x void and 1 x arc then your losing dmg on gl, but other way around u overall gain more dmg

Trying it out rn and honestly it hits basically about the same. Since the surges are making up for the damage that cloudstrike does with its exotic trait. and TBH for me personally i think fathers is better anyways for me, with the lower zoom its easier for me to hit shots consistently. So just preference

The only issue with running double Breach GLs is that once you run out of heavy, doing damage with special is not nearly as efficient since you are just either wasting time reloading or waiting for autoloading more then doing actual DPS

Fair enough, I think izi is better suited for rocket swaps anyways, since you need the reload time to wait for your rocket to reload. It’s nice to see MT doing well

Back in my day we used cold heart and didn’t swap from it till we ran out of ammo for the gun or just shot whisper till the boss died simpler times

If the damage didn't start instantly for sure. I just didn't want to go back and get another damage rotation done. This was just more to show that these are on par with each other for not being exotic. On top of that much easier to get compared to izzy and it's catalyst done for anyone who hasn't got it

I know ur just comparing izi and mountain top but for edge transit have u considered deconstruct + cascade and possibly with sticky?

I would be willing to say that MT has a lower rate of completely whiffing than izi has a rate of missing a crit. These were two near-perfect damage rotations and the izi one is more difficult for sure. Id trade a consistent 3 mil over a maybe consistent 3.08 mil any day.
