The s197 GT500 didn't come out until 2005, and was a concept car at first. It didn't go on sale to the public until 2006. The early 2000s saw the SVT Cobra variants of the sn95 mustangs. Also, the first generation of s197 gt500's made 450 horsepower when they came out. They hit the 500hp mark exactly in 2007.
