I bought a Gibson Hummingbird on my way home from overseas in 1971, my dream instrument! Well, it always sounded like a guitar played under water and as soon I got settled it went down the road. I’ve since seen it hanging at an upscale music shop. My point is that you should not fall for a pretty face, go for long term service every time. I was at a gig several years ago, a guitar, mando and fiddle. We were doing alright but we were near the door and the room was noisy. At one point a crew of folks came in and the door was open for awhile to the sleet and snow outside. Even though we were just banging it out in the ambient noise and musical finesse was out of the question, we had to stop and re-tune. So there’s that to be said for an temperature/humidity inert instrument.

I'm guessing this is a CH-WS1000-NS - which I also have! I call her "plain Jane" and she was my first carbon-fiber guitar - my every-day guitar, which I bought used at a Guitar Center. I now have two Black Ice WS-N2 models for performance a 3000 (12 string - "Jack") and 1000 (six string - "Ji;;") - which I use for performing at open mics and jams - but my CH-WS shorty (12 frets to the body) goes everywhere else!

Funny Instagram brought this back up to me today. I am long past my “Montreal” but it was great to hear your song again. But if you could… Would you do me a favour and write a version of this where the accordion has a solo? Your teammate on the instrument could rock it I’m sure. It would give your chart that New England/East Coast vibe which could really bring this song out. I would send you a version of what I hear in my head on Trombone but somehow that might not suit lol.
