The chances that Ehre is Wirbel’s childhood friend is very small. Wirbel is 34 years old based on his story that she left exactly 29 years ago when he was 5 or 6. Ehre does not look that old.

Honestly, serie seems so ridiculously powerful lol. We see here that her suppressed mana is equal to Frieren’s unsurpassed mana. Hopefully we get to see her fight one day, that would be sick. Also about what you said at 18:24 It seems that Serie is actually better at concealing her mana considering that Lernen noticed that Frieren was doing it, but never noticed Serie despite being around her a lot. Stark's most critical flaw is laid bear here and that's not cowardice, but what's born from it : lack of self worth. Back with the dragon he said to Frieren that should he die she still needs to kill it, here he readies himself to take a fatal hit in order to kill Linie. Stark wants to get past his cowardice, but he don't think he is worthy himself and that leads him to not value his life over others and to such suicidal actions.

When Draht speaks about "Humanity's magic" he means magic from the non-demon races, not just humans. The kanji 人類 (Jinrui) used here is indeed translated as "humanity", but I think the intended meaning here is more like "humanoid races", when speaking about human as a race specifically they use 人間 (Ningen) instead in the show. The difference between 人類 and 魔族 (Mazoku) seems to be that the first "humanity" are races that leave a corpse behind when they die and the second "demons" are those that disperse into magic particles when they die. As the kanji 魔 used in 魔族 can mean evil but also magic, depending on the interpretation they are the "evil race" or the "magical race".

There are more traumatizing flashbacks coming in the future.... some on par with the Acro Silky.

Frieren didn't know where Flamme's old place was because of the 1000 years, that's enough for the layout to change significantly. She also mentioned how she get lost easily in episode 2.

Frieren in the mimic is the best hard cut in all the 28 episodes.

Thing to keep in mind is that Frieren analyzed and reverse-engineered the barrier instead of overpowering it (and it took her several hours). Spell analysis is her unique talent that she also employed against Aura, cancelling the magic on her soldiers. It is not very useful in battle, however as it wastes a lot of time and mana. By Frieren's own admission, Serie is both far more powerful than Frieren and far more skilled, but this was not a matter of strength.

I got the impression from the anime and manga that most know nothing of elves because there are none left. The one or two that pass through are generational oddities. The era of peace denizens knowing Frieren is like trying to identify a forgotten hero from the second world war today. Some may know but the rest are Huh? 11:15 Also I like how Fern's battle with Ehre caused a surprise both to the other party and to myself as well.

I lost it at "Freedom Units" 😂 15:00 You're so right about this. That's partly why she's always sleeping in. I say partly because I think sleep is also just in her nature. Sleepy girl is sleepy. And also just for a small note. Ehre, the girl at the end of the episode that Fern is fighting, mentioned that fighting her is like fighting her Grandfather. It's a line that kind of goes under the radar a bit. It's nothing too big or anything. I'd just suggest to kinda keep it at the back of your mind that she has a Grandfather. That's it! I hope you like some of the mages introduced in the last couple of episodes. Or if not, I hope they may grow on you as the test progesses.

Sein actually is there in the OP, but just briefly. It kinda stings seeing him there in the later episodes. 😆 Also for the ED, the fandom says that the lyrics of the first ED is basically Himmel calling out to Frieren and the second ED is Frieren's response to him.

You got it right at the end. That's why she said she didn't like Sein. That she saw her old self in him, before Himmel showed up and brought her into who she is now. They do slightly come back to it in a later episode to reaffirm it, but it's safe to say to you that's what it was. Also, it's a funny little fan theory that the small items Sein often shows up with is a near 4th wall joke at the budget of the anime, all going into episodes with high animation demand like 9 and 10. Leaving them with "scraps", even though not a single one of these episodes have dipped in production value. Loving your reactions to this. Enjoy episode 14!

I know those spoilers also I have one theory on seal in s2(for it I consider the cut content of S2 ep 13 ) .If you read s2 ep 13 cut content in LN you will understand about witch remains. I also have one end game theory of rezero. But my theory has a major spoiler of one arc 7/8 terminology . So as of now Pandora/Witch cult is planning something, for it she needs witch remains( remember except satella remaining witches are dead). You will understand my theory of upcoming episodes (for specifically You will understand my theory in S3 ep 5-8) .

I missed the part where Lugner says that there first encounter with Frieren ended where they had to retreat. So Aura had no way of knowing Frieren's mana pool

We need a tank? Stark may have said Linie's attacks had no weight behind them, but that axe looked plenty heavy when it dug into the ground, and when Stark was thrown against a tree so hard it broke the ground in front of it. I think he's comparing attacks to Eisen, which isn't really fair to anyone else, seeing as Eisen when he was "too old to swing an axe" lifted a boulder the size of a car.

You think Frieren is going to take that "kusobaba" comment and do something with it right away? She's working on a different timeline. She'll store it away in that brain of her that seems to remember 1000 year old events with perfect clarity.

The defeated the demon king... but I don't think he was a load bearing boss, so his castle still stands. A few details it seems like you missed. In episode 2, the two spells that Fern mentions they got before the pumpkin-picking mission was "cleaning rust from bronze statues" (which they used that episode) and "turning sweet grapes into sour grapes". In Episode 3, during the flashback where everyone's favourite food was mentioned, Eisen said his favourite was sour grapes. In this episode, we can see Frieren do magic to grapes while Fern looks concerned at some other grapes and Eisen is happily chewing away, during the search montage.

I can see you've gotten to episode 8, so by now you know that Frieren modified Zoltraak to specialise in killing demons, your question of this episode has been answered. Everyone is using some Zoltraak variant, it's now "standard offensive magic" because it was so powerful. Of course, the defensive magic developed to counter Zoltraak can beat it, so perhaps we will see further magical developments as the series goes on.
