The Brown treatment under the hood it was called Rusty Jones treatment done at the dealer. They also drill holes in the door jams and sprayed in that area.

The guy running the controls should never get off and feed cable into a winch, very dangerous !

hello, great car. would you mind if I asked what you got for it? I have a 1985 cressida, in white as well. it has 7800 original miles and I have the original title and keys as well. the only thing changed is the tires, otherwise it's absolutely like brand new! I have no idea what to price the car at. I am selling it and was thinking about putting it on eBay but no idea of what to expect. it might be the lowest mile original cressida.

Still don't get it how a 1984 car with that milage i think this a museum car condition unless someone played with the milage to lower it

I had a 1991 Toyota Camry Wagon that had 325,000 miles when I sold it and the car still drove, ran and looked like new. The person who bought this Cressida, if he takes care of it, will have it for the long haul. Such a good car.

I'm a bit confused by the presence of the "Dole" light - the rear window break light. I had a '85 Cressida that did not have one, and they did not become mandatory till 1986. Was it an option that you could pay for, or put on aftermarket?

the Cressida was Toyotas first attempt to compete against European luxury cars. then once lexus came out the Cressida went away, but years later it returned in the form of the Avalon.

You should trim that cable and put the clamps on properly.

My parents bought one brand new. The worst Toyota I ever had. Consumer Report confirmed the car had problems. Replaced 2 head gaskets. Never buy a first year car. My '83 Celica, on the other hand, was the best car I ever had.

This car has good A/C and fuel injection, and you could put a CD player or NAV in it if you wanted. And who cares that it doesn't have those things? Doesn't make it any less amazing of a car.
