Halloween III Season of the Witch mask factory (Inside look)
Переглядів 12 тис.10 років тому
A very small glimpse inside a factory in which 3/4 is officially condemned. The massive structure is absolutely amazing on the inside with beautiful old growth redwood beams, detailed masonry, a water powered elevator and many spooky and very dark rooms and hallways! This "Loletian" takes pride in the fact that I was able to remember the movie being filmed! Enjoy!!

Crazy that you got this, I love this movie and as a kid would always want to visit Santa Maria just to see these iconic places way cool
Very under rated film in the Halloween series...great film...thanks for the video.👍
Halloween 3 I love this film. I own it I think on Blu-ray AMC shows this movie all month long in October ,the good old horror films of the early 80s
Sweeeeeeeet!!!
Should do a updated version of the location
love to buy that place, make it look like the movie
@CowCheeseLover11 , after reading the comments, I know you were young when the movie was being filmed...but can you possibly remember WHEN it was filmed? I mean time of year....days, months? Or at least the season? I can't seem to find filming dates anywhere. Thanks for the video. It's crazy how quickly it deteriorated since 2007, and it's nice seeing it so similar to the movie before the vandalism.
How did you manage to get access?
The property has been purchased.
Oh no! What will become of it? I assume it will be torn down? God, that would pain me to no end. I've been to Loleta many times, specifically to look at the HIII locations. I love that movie. I don't suppose it's still possible to venture inside? I would love to see it before anyone does anything with it.
Someone went back this year and its in way worse shape now than when this was filmed..Looks about like Sean Clark's vid from 2012 or so..Now the doors are torn off and its partially collaspsed.
The property has sold. The new owners are planning to fix it back up.
@@CowCheeseLover11 Don't know what they fixed back but the earthquake on December 20th cause more of the building to collaspe now..
Very cool.... I laid in the bed today and watched this movie.... it has aged very well.
Thanks for sharing your vid of the Silver Shamrock Factory. This is the first vid I've seen inside the actual factory. I've seen a few other more recent footage from the outside and the factory has certainly deteriorated quite a bit since your photos were taken so it was great to see it in almost its former glory. Can you answer this? The part near the end of the film where Tom Atkins chucks the badges down into the control room...was the part you see him up in the the wooden rafters by any chance filmed in the large wooden structure on top of the factory? In the movie they put a huge Silver Shamrock sign and logo on the outside. I know the control room with all the tv screens was shot in a studio but would love to know if the scenes shot in the rafters was in the actual factory...Cheers, Allan
That would be an awesome place to live, in that old building all by yourself.
This was amazing to see, thank you for sharing!!
I’d love to visit that place! Just an iconic building and it’s such a shame it’s fell into such disrepair. Wouldn’t it be great if it was made into the Silver Shamrock factory again? That would attract a lot of fans and visitors.
FYI. None of the interior factory shots were shot inside the exterior building. All the interior factory shots were filmed at Don Post Studios mask factory in Hollywood, and on soundstages in LA.
Datt factory dem shamrocks

Hi if i pay you can you send me a peace of thebuilding
This property is for sale at www.zillow.com. Look for property located in Loleta, California. For $335,000 she could be all yours! 👍🏻
Thats how much they want for the Silver Shamrock factory?😂😂 No specific house or building pops up on the link..I live in my vehicle and drift all over the country..about 350 miles north chillin right now headed that way eventually😂😂
7:42 was final processing..You had your chance to see what the trade secrets were😂😂😂
Jack Action. Strange choice of names. Anyway, I am from Loleta - I know most of the secrets. 🤨😂
@@CowCheeseLover11 Are you still there?😂😂 I know the Howling and Salems Lot locations are not too far from there either..Not by my driving standards anyways.
Yep.
I need someone to please go into the final processing room please!!!! Cochran is dead go in 😂
Who’s up for leaving some Silver Shamrock masks - or maybe a huge fake Stonehenge standing stone - in there for people to find? 👿
Excellent video!!... I know where the place is, it's just getting there from southern California lol. Looks creepy as hell. I wonder if they shot any interiors there as well.
What the hell are they doing in that town,if i was mayor i would refurbish the silver shamrock factory back to movie specifications and have the huge silver shamrock sign back up on the building and all of the other sets that were used when they shot their on location and actually model the town after the movie. That would make one of the best tourist attractions in all of California.
The doors with the pad locks are the doorscto final processing. That's why you couldn't go it.lol
"A little bit of this, and a little bit of that "lol
I just love the music in this video
Did you have permission to be in there? And if you did who did you contact. We went to see the factory and get a little more information on it from the people that live in the small town. Most of the people we talked to were not interested in talking about the factory or the movie.
I've lived in this town all of my life...let's just say I had connections. No one is allowed in anymore. There is an alarm system for the building entry. Many new people in town nowadays don't know the history and don't care. I remember when the movie was filmed in 1982. It was very exciting!
CowCheeseLover11 We were thinking about taking another trip up there again soon. Would it be possible to meet with you to ask you more about the filming of the movie? Here is my Email Thesoloistone@gmail.com
Patrick Martin I remember them filming but I don't know much worth being interesting or informative. Most of the filming was at nighttime after 10 pm. Many things have changed in town since the 80's. No more phone booth, no more gas station and the owners of the building are letting it fall apart. The next big earthquake that rattles those bricks, I'll be packing boxes full. Lol
Well then we need to get up there soon and take as many pictures of the old factory as possible. And maybe take a brick or two lol thanks for the help, and your video was great 👍
The property is for sale now on www.zillow.com. For $335,000 she can be yours! 👍🏻
Halloween 3 creeped me out more then any of the other Halloween movies.Great video!.
What memories do you have of the actual filming, and did you manage to get an pics of the filming? Great video. =)
Too young when they were filming. I couldn't be out past 10 pm. 😂

nice!
Cow cheese lover 11 could you sell me a brick from there? I would be very interested
You still want one?
@@dylanflud1073 yes definitely
@@LosAngeles-yz1yn a lot of the building collapsed during the last earthquake we had here so I can definitely pick up some bricks for you and ship them your way.
hi,were you able to mail a couple of bricks off yet?
@Dylan Flud Were you still mailing the bricks? Let me know if you need money for shipping.
I visited from Scotland. Went from SF all the way upto Loleta to visit the location. Had to get bus from nearby town. Was so surreal being there. Girl in local shop seemed shocked at my accent ;-). Visited the Salems Lot town as well then back to California for some H1 & 2 locations. Great trip.
I am from Texas. And looking at fortuna city videos. Your came up. And its a refreshing to look at someone so pretty from such a nice little city. You get my thumbs up
Thank you for your kind words! :)
Fascinating...... Halloween III was by far the best in the series following the original. All the other Michael Myers sequels were both pedictable and D U L L . This film was the first in what was a "Halloween" concept created by the series makers initiating what was to be an annual Halloween themed horror film entry in a Halloween series of films. Unfortunately, this otherwise original and well done film was hurt by it's very title, with all the" Myers" fans expecting yet another "psycho slasher" flick. Too bad...they should have kept the original "Season Of The Witch " title....it's a great horror film ...that stands alone..heads and shoulders over all the other silly Halloween sequels. Thanks for the tour!
Is the building accessible to the insides or is it completely closed off to public access?
Unfortunately, the building is closed off from public access at this time.
The property is now for sale on www.zillow.com. 👍🏻
too bad that movie fucking blows.
Unbeliaveble!! Suggestive!! When you made this video of the interior of the farm? I'm Italian. in 2012 was in Loleta just to visit those places full of charm for me, and I realized my video on locations, online on you tube, but unfortunately it was no longer possible to get inside the factory :(
I actually took these pictures in 2007. I was lucky to get in before all the vandalism. It is a huge and amazing building! :)
Love halloween 3 hoping to visit loleta soon gotta get from england still
Cool. It's still standing, just kind of getting a little more run down looking. Weeds, windows broken, etc..
Just don't grab a bit of that stonehedge and bring it there

Love u Loleta!!!
Thank you for this upload and for the subscription. I probably would have never found this video. My wife and I visited Loleta a few years ago. After so many years I am still so drawn to it and think about it almost daily. Miss the redwood forests, coast and dairy plains so much. Always wanted to go into the factory. I thought it would be a dilapidated mess on the inside but it almost looks functional. Can't wait to come back!
My pleasure! I love this area and this building! :)
The property is for sale on www.zillow.com for $335,000. 👍🏻
The building was a creamery. They would receive milk from local dairies and produced milk and powdered milk. The train station in town rolls right along the side of the building to allow easy access for powdered milk to be sent by train to outlining areas. Would love for it to be turned into a museum and have tours! Before the building was purchased by the current owners a team of surveyors evaluated the condition of the building. Due to California regulations and laws it would cost approximately 2.5 million dollars to meet the specific codes to repair the building. The building is also a historical one in which the new owners cannot tear it down and resale the bricks. It will have to fall down on its own. The location of this beautiful and huge building is nestled right in the heart of our little town, Loleta, California.
The interiors were filmed at Don Post Studios and some (I think) were filmed at a Universal soundstage and backlot (Teddy's office/coroner)
CowCheeseLover11 I live in Redding and may be going to Loleta in a few weeks. Is there any chance I could snag a small piece of brick that has all ready broken off from the building?
Awesome vid thanks for sharing, do you know what the factory was actually used for? I know it would take a load of money but I think it should be turned into a pro-haunt and halloween 3 museum :)
It was originally used as a creamery. :)
Whats the location? Somewhere in Wisconsin?
Loleta, California.
