A very interesting duo of brothers. The older is the one with the strong exterior but hides at times a very weak developed character within who cannot see past his own pride. The younger brother is the one who looks weak and helpless with a pale face, but resorts of a strong mind and a courageous heart. The older is bend by the crown; so he tries and tries and tries to perfect and spread his monarchial authority over the borders of his own country; to keep on pretending it doesn't. And the only one reminding him that he is pretending through his actions and his words is his younger brother. I think this is the core of their hateful but understanding and consistent relationship.

Actually, truly amazing this year when I went to the Royal Versailles convention. And it was wonderful truly wonderful to talk to George and Alex, who played the royal brothers of the Bourbons did an outstanding performance, and always be remembered all the best in the future I know you certainly learned a lot when you go to the Royal Magnificent Splenda Palace. That was once a hunting lodge. Thank you for doing this video and what a wonderful tribute all the best George and Alex truly amazing talent actors.

The more I wanna ship this I don’t think I can because Masaki is 23 and Minato is 15/16… I feel like they share more of a father son relationship
True. The writer ship-baits/ romanticizes older x younger relationship- though in the LN it's clear how the relationship chart says that Masaki and Minato has a coach/guardian and student relationship... and the closest relationship Minato has is with Seiya. The Shu x Minato ship is more acceptable- though Shu is a bully in the LN and the anime and the sort of guy who wants to drive away the BFF so he could provoke the guy he hates/loves. His love is clearly bipolar- like Haru and Rin in Free. I'm all for bipolar love and rival to friends to something else kind of dynamics- if the writer intends to portray it as toxic the way it is- but not when it is normalized like Fifty Shades of Grey kind of normal- where the audience is made to believe that it's "romantic" to be in a relationship to change that person into something he's not- when love is about "normalizing" a person as if that's what the power of love is all about. Seiya x Minato is the most wholesome pure-love relationship I could think of- though it also has its darker side. But the darker side is something the writer maturely portrays in the LN, exploring Seiya's "guilt" for the loss of Minato's mom- until the writer FORGETS that and AGAIN does tons of BS fanservice for Masaki x Minato fans the way she did for Rin x Haru fans. Even in Free, there's hardly any chemistry there- just tons of rivalry where Haru and Rin treat each other like adrenaline pumps-(like the kind of rivals who say "I need to be with you because you make me want to win more" or "I love you but also I want to beat you and prove I'm the best.") It's very narcissistic to the core- and I don't know why the writer seems to love playing up the narcissist x nerd relationship which is just the WORST there is in psychology. Tsurune is tons more mature than Free- until the same writer decides to make a u-turn for the harem/ecchi/porn MENTOR x STUDENT pedo vibes that's a bit disappointing. I hope she realizes this- and I hope she focuses more on friendship-building than baiting fans with pedo-shipping. I know Masaki fans would hate the way I put it- but BL shippers sometimes get their toxic preferences from toxic BL manhwa where bullying, violence, and narcissism is turned into something appealing and addicting.
