In her case, Dr. Sarvie Begheri was able to remove the tumor via surgery. Here is Mary Cassat's...

Sooooo long
If the vet taped the route to your dog's foot and It got in his hair. Use coconut oil and rub it off.
Thank you!
Just a question, do you need to shave off the entire area around the leg to place the catheter? Or can you place it without shaving the entire dog skin around like it’s done in the video?
3 vet nurses couldn’t take this off today post surgery as got bitten. Its stuck to the fur on my cats leg and she won’t let me take it off. I could rip it off I suppose but I don’t want to hurt her anymore after an exhausting day for her and she’s getting very angry when I try. It is partially free around her leg so dont think it’s causing problems with circulation so is it best to now to just leave it to come off naturally? Not happy the vets have left me with the burden.
Try putting a calming jacket on about 1 hour ahead. The best ones are placed on their back, + velcro around the neck + tummy, are soft. You can attach a leash to help catch them. They are fooled to think they can't move normally, run away, or scratch. My vet was impressed!. Also, wrap the pill in a pill paste, like Vetoquinol for cats(+ dogs). Can freeze for 1 min. to firm up, then use a pill popper. Reward after swallowing with treats + removing the jacket
What if my dog hops up the stairs instead of going one leg at a time?
Not easy to take off!
Bravo
Thanks for the clear and helpful tutorial on tick removal! It's crucial to know the right steps to keep our pets safe and healthy. Your demonstration makes it easy to understand and follow. Appreciate the valuable tips!
My cat does not open his mouth at all !!
Pilling a cat can be quite a challenge! Hoping this video provides some useful tips and tricks for a stress-free medication routine for our feline friends.
When a client calls for the first time, tell them retractable leashes are not allowed. When they arrive and fill out new client paper work (that they sign & date) , have it on that form that retractable leashed are not allowed. If someone still forgets and only has a retractable leash with them, tell them the leash must be locked at a 3 foot length.
Acupuncture for my cat and myself before bed is so wonderful. We enjoy the head between the ears to relax
Thank you 🙏
Great tips, thank you.
Thanks for the tip on the grip. Helpful!
Thanks a lot!
My cat stopped eating treats after being pilled because he now associates treats with the "terrible tasting pill"
Good job lil bully!
How come pet is so, silent? How we can restrain pets who is aggressive?
👍
To get them to swallow, I follow the pill with a small bit of water from a 3 ml medication syringe. This way you don't find the pills spit out later. It's like a human swallowing a pill with a sip of water, helps it go down more easily.
Yes, I use a dropper to put a little water in his mouth right after the pill and then I give him his wet food. I think it's hard for a me to swallow a big pill without water so same thing with an animal.
Thank you for that suggestion. I'm going to try that
I'd like to see at least one video where the cat is like mine, who wouldn't allow to wrap him into any buritto 😂 Who will try to scratch and bite a life out of you. I try to hide tablet in food, but he is smart and will eat around it.
I have a cat like that. And it takes a while, but sometimes I can grab him by his scruff, and then, for me, i do his flea medicine topically. But, have not tried to do a pill popper like this . I don't think it's possible, in his case. However, $200++/per vet visit, for a shot and sedation, isn't easy, either.
These videos are wonderful!
I can stick the pill popper against the corner of our cat's mouth as many times as I want. Doesn't matter: the cat refuses to open her mouth. End up having to pry open mouth by force and stick popper straight in from the front. It's not a pretty procedure but the reality is, that's all that works with this cat.
My vet have recommended Bravecto for my cat. I am really content with the results. I also saved my bucks by purchasing this product from VetSupply.
They do not come off that easy. My dog has never once been aggressive and tried to bite me when I went to take this off. Terrible video.
Yes!,
when is the assistant supposed to let go of the vein?
AFTER the actual catheter is inserted and BEFORE the stylet is removed. If you keep pressure on the vein at the elbow, it will make the patient bleed out of the catheter before the technician has a chance to plug it with the T-port. You can see the assistant do this at 2:53 (pause and notice that the catheter is in and the stylet is still inserted).
wrap the cat in a towel - it saves you getting shredded
The they used as models are very submissive and cooperative. Thanks for this video
Thank you.
Cute
I hope my experience will help someone. This is for those that manage to pry off the corner of the bandage but it got stuck halfway. I positioned myself beside and slightly behind my cat and clamp the loose flap with long nose pliers. The cat’s trashing and pulling will do the work. It only took a few seconds for the whole thing to slid off my cat’s leg. This might not be helpful if the bandage is sticking to the fur though as this method might be too painful for your cat. Wishing your furbaby speedy recovery.
My chihuahua cracked his dewclaw all the way to the base and I’ve been trying to keep it clean and wrapped up till I can get to a vet. Wrapped it a little too tight today and now he won’t let me remove it. 🤦🏾♀️ I’ve tried soaking it in water and just cutting it- no luck going to try oil and if that doesn’t work just going to leave it till his appointment
What can I give my kitten for congestion and sneezing
You need to take him/her to the veterinarian or pet hospital.
I'VE ACTUALLY BEEN DOING THAT WITH MY CATS AND DOGS WHO HAVE THE SNIFFLES. THEY LOVE IT!!! RATHER THAN GIVE THEM MEDS FOR A LONG TIME. 7 DAYS MEDS ONLY. I HAVE 61 CATS AND 6 DOGS IN MY SANCTUARY.
Thanks. Too cute in that towel!!!🤣
This would be nice if my dog didn’t try to eat my face 😐
This is awesome info thanks for sharing!
Why long leashes are awesome, see video.
Amazing application
his tired of going to stairs 😭
So, how do you you train your cat to be pilled at a young age so that when they are old and cranky they do so as easily as possible and without much damage to you? Every cat I’ve had have been master pill spitters, while clawing you to death in the process, even through a towel. And yes, I’ve been trained in and used everything you demonstrated. Sun-Q’s are easier. They just walk out of the needle if they feel like they are really done with you. My best luck is with liquid or dermals. Pills, nope.
I can see a lot of comments here about how difficult it was to remove the sticky bandage. I also faced issues with this. In case it helps anyone, this is what i tried: I wet the bandage with water and made a cut carefully with a blade. It stayed stuck to the fur, but slowly started coming off after my cat walked around. I've left it on, at least it's loose now and not causing pain.
Thank you, and thank you for being a fellow lefty! My cat is being treated for triaditis and has 3 new pills to take. He cheeked all 3 yesterday...
My cat's got pancreatitis so he's not eating or pooping so I try to get him to eat a treat or put the pill in tuna and of course that doesn't work so I have to use a pill popper but I ended up just using a little bit of olive oil to get the pill soaked and then I just pop it in his mouth but it's not easy.
I pulled it off and part of the IV was still there!?!?
Can you go above the shoulder area to the neck on a dog where there’s more to tent ? I can’t find this answer anyplace.. thank you for your time
