Kingdoms of Amalur: ReReckoning ep. 5 - The Power of Reckoning Mode
Hi! I'm Dredge!
Today we're continuing a playthrough of one of my most favorite games, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, on PC/Steam!
Here are the "Rules of Engagement"
1) We are a Weapon Master this time! Our build will shift to take advantage of our best weapon.
2) No save-scumming or other cheating! That goes double for crafting exploits!
3) No crafting weapons until level 10 in blacksmithing (it's just too broken)
4) Go quickly! No dilly-dallying or extraneous level-grinding!
5) No skipping cutscenes!
6) Listen to the dialogue! I genuinely love the character writing and voice-acting in this game, so you get to sit thru it, too!
7) Don't open the chest in Gorhart until we are hard-stuck in progression. The weapons scale up, so we're taking our time to let them cook!

I did? Oh no! What did I miss? I thought I needed the laser cutter I didn't have to get anything ^_^'
@@DredgeTheDeep well there are modification station fragments in there, plant pots, picture frame etc. also turn the marker on for lifepod 3 again and go revisit it. your compass blueprint is in there. also some stuff back on Degasi island. Check around inside the multipurpose room you scanned but IIRC never went in. and yes you were correct about growing plants for food and water in your base. you really need to build one so you can start storing lots of resources. you've got a lot of building to do. :)

Yoyo my man, I would suggest making yourself slightly louder and the game slightly lower, just so you're always clear when you're speaking! Sometimes its pretty difficult to hear you especially when the ambient noise from just how the game is is super loud, it overpowers you unfortunately. Another thing you should do if you can is add a "noise gate" filter on your mic with OBS and SLOBS those tools should just be available to you. It will help with mic clarity and almost no background nose or noise from the mouse or keyboard will make it through!

Envious that you know nothing about this game. Avoid all spoilers and tips if you can! It's so well laid out, it'll take away from the first time experience. It's one of the only games I truly wish I could forget and play again. Also wish I hadn't looked for tips online and just trusted the devs..
That said: If you get lost, stalled, or confused.. go deeper.
Still spoiler-free! I'm doing my best to resist getting a dang map, though XD
@@mattosborne1366 Haha! Good advice! Ran into those bitey-bois down near the glowing mushrooms as I got deeper, though. Gotta figure out a way to deal with them! Episode 3 will be mostly figuring out how all the equipment interacts with the environment! Like there's an air pump thing that says it attaches to pipes, so maybe I can pipe down some fresh air for longer dives? Also that weird gravity ball thingy? Maybe useful for catching fish or avoiding smaller predators? I bet I can find the gold and silver that I need for components further down...in the deep!
@@DredgeTheDeep yeah..I know that one. After a couple play-throughs I got one.. It was easier; and also a bit disappointing. So on my most recent game I went back to no map. Enjoying it more. There's some things that help with that in the game.
