Demonstration: Arturia MicroFreak into a Zoom Multi-stomp MS70 pedal
Переглядів 3,5 тис.4 роки тому
A video showing how the Arturia MicroFreak can be enhanced with this relatively cheap multi-effect pedal. The Zoom MS70 has 137 effects which can be chained into patches. So you might have a compressor into a particle-delay into a chorus into a tape-echo into reverb. It's exactly that level of over-effecting that's demonstrated here. It's a long video aiming to give you an idea what this pairin...

creating feedback drones using Ableton Live send/returns. here I walk it through from the start - creating a return track and dropping the required devices on. There's no voice-over, no tutorial - just a long video of me slowly putting the devices in place which should give you an indication of how to achieve similar results. In fact this technique can deliver anything from deep drones (as here...
insanely awesome............I'm drooling.......................excuse my ignorance, but is the output of the MFreak mono, as it sounds in these 'dry' segments?
That sounds great working getting a microfreak hopefully next week and have the new ms70cdr+ on order can't wait to have fun with them, thanks for sharing
Hey this is great ❤Could you please tell me in 11:52 time which preset did you use on MiCROFREAK ? Thnx
This is insane. You my friend are on another level!
These are really good! Nice work.
Fantastic.
oh boy oh boy sounds great
Damn that pedal turns the microfreak into a completely different instrument. My 70's coming in today.
I never finish watching this video because I get to inspired, thanks.
I'm thinking about getting the Microfreak and the Zoom MS 70CDR pedal.. But there look like so many cables coming from the pedal. Do you mind telling me which one does what? Sounds absolutely beautiful by the way..)
the cable going into the right of the pedal is the mono audio input. At the back is the power. On the left are the stereo outs, so you could use a single Y cable there, I just didn't have one to hand.
Man these sound amazing!
i came for the rim shot... i was disappointed. no im not a drummer. but cool vid!
wow, this is lit
thanks for doing this! I was thinking about buying the MS70 pedal and all criticisms I‘ve read disappeared while hearing this long session with different sounds and fx-combinations. Seems to be more than perfect with the microfreak as it‘s pure sound needs some treatment.
Especially now that the MicroFreak has gained a Vocoder in firmware version 2.1, the pedal will really enable lush fat vocal pads ... in stereo!
Wasn‘t aware of that until I‘ve read your answer 👌🏽 great news! Im very interested in putting some field recordings through the new vocoder engine 🧪 and someday the MS70 at the end of the chain, meanwhile MI Clouds will do the job.
My favorite is the sp199 fx so unique sound, thanks for sharing these presets and btw do u have any more fx presets
There are lots more presets in the full pack. If you follow the link up top there , on the download page there’s a link to the full pack and the full pack has 22 SFX presets!
These presets remind me of Boards of Canada.
Yeah, I guess that eroded sound is what I was going for, old technology wearing out! You'll hear one preset is 0:53 boards lead brute
They sound great!
Great overview, thanks for this. And it's amazing how switching between dry and wet is like night and day.
is this possible in reaper or fl?
Very
awesome! thank you sir!
YEAH
Thank you so much! This was extremely helpful.
I might try to use this idea carefully !! Do you have any material available on some bandcamp or stuff???
Superb
This is great!!! How do you get such a crystal clean feedbacks-harmonics; what effects do you put on return tracks?
Hi, the effects in the return channels are visible later in this video - they are visible around 1:08 . I think this video is from the series I did about creating audio feedback in Ableton Live. Part 1 is here: angstromnoises.com/tutorial-ableton-audio-feedback-part-1/
Thank you for this shared knowledge! It's a very nice explanation on your blog.
like i see in 2018....
Thank you!!!
Thank you Thank you!
I was wondering if this was possible in Live. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
