If you're a beginning DIYer this is a channel for you.
I'm no professional, and I do this in my spare time. If that's you too, then my channel might help you realize you can DIY too, and that not everyone on UA-cam is an incredibly skilled professional!
I do a lot of DIY projects. Building, home renovation and improvement, and I occasionally invent something that I can't find on UA-cam already, like my rain barrel pump system (ua-cam.com/video/SVN4F_84X1s/v-deo.html), or my raised beds with planters in the side to use all 3 dimensions of a raised bed (ua-cam.com/video/3nuQ1eoiCuk/v-deo.html).

DIY platform bird feeder, almost no tools required! (10 minute build)
Here's a really quick DIY birdfeeder you can probably build for free out of scraps around the house. Some birds are ground feeders and will only eat at platform feeders. Birds like dark eyed juncos, and mourning doves.

3D printing! In this video I show you how to load the filawinder from the filastruder (version 2.1e) and how to set it all up to work optimally. Is that an old Hunter fan ?
What kind of mesh?
Any window screen from the hardware store.
that sounds like CRAP ! adjust the governor and belt !!!

I just bought one yesterday and need some parts
thanks for video its something I need to do.
I appreciated it. I had messed up the speed order last time I replaced the switch, and your wire color identification allowed me to put it back right this time. Thanks. (Incidentally, it is a 30 year old Hunter fan).
that was a prefect tutorial my friend evn though a few of my wires were a different color, it was pretty easy to figure out once the l wire was installed......once again thanks....
That straight line trick is 👌 thanks!
Nice video. Clear instructions that get to the point. Thanks very much
Great idea, just what I was looking for😊
I will definitely be giving this system a try this summer! Thank you!
You could’ve uncliped the light kit to make a easy installation
Love the idea of the screen. I was about to build one and drill many many drainage holes. But this will be much better. Thanks
Glad to help
Good and good 👍 👌 I love stove big in the cold 🌹 💐 🏵 ❤️ .
Please, please, please give me your phone# mine needs fixing!
Where you located?
What type of wood did you use ?
My craftsman house was a catalogue kit house. The original trim was Doug fir, which isn't that easy to find anymore except as framing lumber. So in the spirit of restoration, I used Monterey pine (P. radiata) which is sold as "select pine" in most US stores. It has a similar grain to the historic Doug fir, and no knots like cheaper pine. Obviously, if you're not going for an accurate restoration you could use whichever wood you prefer. :)
I just stumbled upon your video while looking to restore my family phonograph. Very well done! Thanks for all the helpful links! Wish me luck....🙂
How'd it go!?
I'm also curious😊
Thank you for sharing. It was very helpful. I liked your video.
Thanks
Nice I like the idea of window screens. 😁
I just purchased this heater. It works perfectly, but the bail handle is too light gauge, and will not stay in place for lifting. You don't mention this in your review?
I just purchased this heater. It works perfectly, but the bail handle will not stay in place to allow carrying. It is too light gauge. You don't include this in your review?
I did too.
Neat, i have some cylenders, but nothing to play them on. i have the upgrade Flat disk cutter made from bell labs..
I am building this out of pieces of an old bamboo shoe rack. So easy
Looks great, and with a brighter bulb installed that’s all the light you need. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxWF88GpljEn-0o34vtLFazEQ5h5Q33SjU As far as ease of installation- this was my first ceiling fan and it took about 3 hours because I had no idea what I was doing and also it’s helpful to have a second set of hands and a magnetic drill bit. Works great.
I know this is an older post and I'm not sure if you changed this setup... can you please tell us what the GPM and PSI rating for your pump? Also, are you running 12v or 110v?
Same setup still works great. 1) The pump I used (and linked) claims 3.3GPM and 45 PSI. You could buy a beefier pump if you have the power (i.e. 120v wall vs 12V battery, see next answer) and if you don't mind listening to more noise from a beefier pump. 2) I run 120, it's a house so I just plug it into my wall. But I don't see why you couldn't wire it for 12v if that's what you have. I have not tested this though.
@@GordBuildLab thank you for taking the time to reply.
@@Red_Sky_Farm_2023 let me know how it goes!!
How to turn off the spinning...tried to pull the string four times and the fan is not stopping
Flip the wall switch off
Very nice work. Thinking about doing this in my house and been researching ideas.
You can do it!
I had the same problem as OWILL1, I could not get the wire to lock in place of the new switch. I can not find a new switch with the wires already attached.
To much work of me, I bought a window Birds Choice platform feeder. Like number 5.
To each their own! I'm a big fan of buying back one's time. I like to build, but you don't have to! :)

Gord I can’t find a pedal sensor replacement. Wondering if you have a line on one? Thanks
No. My pedal sensor died from a rain storm I couldn't get out of and I gave up on the whole system. I have ideas on a repair, but haven't tried them yet. Honestly, I have been enjoying riding with no e-assist now that I'm back in shape and don't really have plans to go back to an ebike.
What was your plan for a replacement sensor
I see below many people are complaining about not being able to insert wires into the switch. If you stripped the sheath from the old wire and you find that the wire is stranded type (not a thick single wire) then it will be difficult to push the wire into the switch because the stranded wire has no strength. You will have to coat the stranded wire with solder to bind them all together. Now the soldered end will have enough strength to be pushed into the switch.
doubtful that anyone who needs enough guidance to be watching this video is capable of soldering.
My wires won't push in and I returned the switch and got another of the same kind for a 3-way ceiling fan. Don't the wires just slide into the holes on the switch?
Hi there, do the flames get washed out in bright artificial or natural light? I’ve read a couple of reviews of these classic flame units where people mention that
Yes
before i move into condo, there was one knob switch . one for fan and other for lights. lights are not attached to fan it separate. After i move in i noticed electrician change switch to flip only, which operates lights only and fan is no longer working or any power going in? how can i fix this? by buying new 2 or 3 way switch or something?
That was awesome! Thank you so much. You made it super simple.
Getting mixed messages from the manufacturer if I can create a frame wall and install this in it. I noticed the top of the unit gets VERY hot. Is this something you can install in a wood wall? If a frame is built and made out of shiplap can you put this unit inside it?
I would defer to the manufacturer over random people on the internet.
Can you relist on ebay? I'm willing to buy
It's relisted.
Why don’t you read the Manuel to see what the controls & codes mean? I have the same unit. Like it very much. “Not a fan of plastic & styrofoam”, huh? Lol What do you expect them to pack it in to ensure safe & dry delivery? Hemp? Lol I’m not a fan of environmentalists, cuz they don’t live in the real world
Thanks for watching. You'll also hate this one, also great for the environment and saves me a bundle on my water bill. ua-cam.com/video/SVN4F_84X1s/v-deo.html
@@GordBuildLab lol I love to hate it! Haha You’re a good sport. Do you have solar panels & drive an electric car?
@@geraldpinkerton6412 alas, I only have a Prius, but yep I have solar panels. I put fuel in the car about once a month and haven't had an electric bill in ages. It's tough saving all that money when I don't live in the real world to spend it! :P

Maybe
You can unplug that white rectangle plug and pull whole thing off from fan and wire it down on a table, then plug the white plug back in. Much easier to get the 4 wires in.
I really like that you left the joints in the box unglued. I was thinking the same thing that the low pressure would not need glue & then let me reuse & reconfigure everything as I gained experience. Please keep making these videos.
