Reflection:
1. Are you able to identify a moment in your past that was a clear point in which your sorrow turned into joy?
2. In the past, are you someone who is inclined to run away when you hit the point of greatest sorrow and anguish, or are you more inclined to plow ahead and ignore it?
3. Has there been anything in the past that you have inserted into the point to try to manufacture your own joy?
4. Honestly reflect: when you think of Jesus, does your heart experience joy? Or do you experience something else
5. Have you ever experienced times of sorrow and pain and doubt (or lack of fullness of joy), even when you felt like you were abiding in Jesus?
6. When was the last time you boldly asked Jesus something in prayer? What was it for?
