Mini Split heat pump system install
The largest system I’ve installed to date. It was high and hot, but we knocked it out and had a blast!

Laconia Rental Update October 7th 2020
I extended the overfill tube on mine with same diameter pvc tube and silicon glue and adjusted floater valve to fill more water in the tank. Vast improvement 👏
Is this SR506-5?
easiest car in the world to learn stick, its how I taught my son
Thank you for teaching manual👍👍
Thanks! Should be mandatory, plus no one gets amped up to drive an automatic 😂
The max speed on those is like 10 😂🎉😢
Hahaha no doubt! A little better downhill hahaha.
3 Ton unit? You sure about how much is 3 tons?(3 000 kg) or maybe i am missunderstaning something here.
In AC terms a 3 ton unit is 36,000 BTUs (12k per ton) and not directly related to the weight of the unit. Although generally a 3 ton unit would weigh slightly more than a 1 ton unit due to coil, compressor and other component sizes. Thanks for the question! This particular unit is in the 200-250 lbs range for physical weight.
I love the way its mounted!!
Thanks! We want them sturdy and stable to handle the harsh winter snow. With smaller units I’ll give the customer a wall mounted or ground mounted option, but these big fellas go on the ground 99% of the time unless it’s to a concrete wall away from living space. Thanks for watching!
That would be cool if they made one for double flares on brake lines
That would be sweet, I bet they could make come up with it…of course they’d probably partner with Snap On and get all the $$$ for it hahaha. Thanks for the comment!
Sounds like The Rock. Beautiful work 👏 👌
Thank you very much! I appreciate the feedback.
Why would someone heat a garage floor?
To heat the garage?
its pex so its using water so i could see the heat coming up and heat rises so if it can heat that whole garage for cheap thats not bad
Here in the northeast people like hearing their harsh for a bunch of reasons, warm/dry vehicle, working out there, etc. Radiant slab heating is an efficient and comfortable way to heat. The concrete mass holds the temperature beautifully, we generally run 100-105 degree water so it’s pretty efficient and cost effective as well. Thanks for the question!
@@SupaScho don’t get me WRONG, very NICE JOB on the floor. But a garage..I guess it’s the new “garage”. Imagine telling a real auto mechanic that. I’m in the northeast too.
@@SupaScho I gotta def see/feel this up close.
Why not showing how it flushes so we can see if we want this low water garbage in our homes or we should pick something else!
Good idea next one I’ll shoot a video of the flush, “low water garbage” is a bit close minded all toilets are low water consumption and this one flushes well. A newly installed modern plumbing system works perfectly fine with low consumption fixtures, it is on old retro fits with large diameter cast iron drains where issues with not enough water can cause issues. Thanks for the comment!
@@SupaScho There's also an option to put in a restored 3.5 gpf or a good performing restored/new 1.6 gpf terlit. The only new one that I see today that's worth anything and praise is the American Standard Vormax.
I’ve heard good things about the Vormax too, I’ll have to check it out and compare. Thanks!
@@SupaScho What I look at is bowl rinse first and formost after living with extended family members with a whole host of digestive diseases in the IBS/IBD spectrum. So, they can't help but spatter the back half of the bowl with 💩. How good is the terlit in rinsing that off? Second would be any and all plumber's concerns like flush, water use, repairability, etc. Since many have hose wand bidets ala the EU, they are also using it to clean their terlits with lots more water. I think the next step up would be vacuum terlits with minimal water. I've already seen some in public places, and we all know they're on aircraft too. So I reckon if you start moving to vaccum terlit systems you'd be ahead of the curve, especially if and when the droughts get much worse, unless some other waste technologies come along. The drought out here in the Intermountain west has been going on since 1983 and there's no letup, save for a few winters where we get hammered by the "Pineapple Express", and this past winter was one, giving many lakes behind dams a reprieve. I'm sure you've seen "bathtub rings" in them such as Hoover Dam, and several others in northern CA empty completely. I don't think the east coast will ever see this kind of drought, but from the Mississippi River valley westward, it's bad.
@@jbsimmons54I know in some of the southeast parts of the country they have vacuum systems in place. Some with a traditional gravity system as well. Haven’t seen anything of that sort in the North East. Also for washing the bowl that is definitely a nice feature as well.
Did you "test" for the customer..?
😂
En USA las casas son de cartón 😂😂😂
SPF studs and advantec pressboard beats mud and sticks! 🤣 Thanks for the comment
Did you clean after?
Sure did! We leave the site cleaner than we find it always. Thanks for checking it out.
😭 "promosm"
Thanks for checking it out!
How’s it work
I do security work (door control systems, etc), the electricians always leave us presents to clean up after they finish pulling power in!
Electrical work is easy like the easiest trade.😂
Hahaha I don’t think it’s easier just like throwing a little shade 😂
Like a trail of breadcrumbs
lol no doubt! So they don’t get lost on the way back to their van. 😂
Hahahaha
You know me! Mr. Hilarious hahaha
Congrats homie.
My invite musta got lost in the mail. With my 10 million check from Ed McMahon and publishers clearing house. Hahaha 😂😂😂
Not very deep at 103’. My well is 23’ deep.
Some wells up in NH are hundreds of feet. I think he got his moneys worth
@@rnrudynh1427 I hear ya. I have ground water at 6’. I got lucky on mine.
@@BlueDart1971 I live in a very wet area too. My well will never run dry. Butttttt the constant threat of basement flooding sucks.
@@rnrudynh1427 fortunately I don’t have that fear. I’m built on sand and I don’t have a basement. Although I do worry about my leach field being too wet to work sometimes.
Easy pull at 23’! Is it a drilled well or dug? We average 250-350’ in this area so 100’ was a dream find! Thanks for checking it out.
That tree is gonna spit those threads in his coffee the next morning , 😂
Cool😂
Thanks! Always looking for ways to reuse materials and teach the basics!
As someone who’s been plumbing for 5 years I would’ve loved to start off this way!
Thanks! We have a good number of the students move on into the trade. Did your school offer any trade classes?
What brand of mixing valve?
Honeywell AMX300, great for tank style water heaters
I feel old now.
Thanks
Thanks for checking it out! Do you get basement flooding in your area?
I set my water heaters to run full hot at the faucet and be comfortable without mixing it down.
Mandatory? wow, that sucks! So crank the temperature up just to cool it back down on the way to the faucet. Such a waste
Yes a majority of the time I set the water heater to the desired temperature at the faucet and just set the mixing valve to match. The idea is to prevent scalding if the tank overheats, I do agree it adds unnecessary cost to The customer in many cases, but it’s code so it gets installed. In some cases it can provide the extra hot water when needed. At one time they wanted the tank cranked and knocked down to prevent bacteria growth but the average residential tank doesn’t go hot enough to kill bacteria so they changed that at least. Thanks for the comments
@@SupaScho I understand it's code there. 130 degrees I believe is sufficient for legionnaires I seem to recall.
@@SupaScho Nice install techniques btw. I'm a big fan of Pex-a myself.
@@DayClanTribefrom what I’ve read 160(ish) to kill it instantly and a constant above 140 to help prevent it, but the constant circulation and change over of the water is what keeps it safe. Always good to chat plumbing! Have an excellent weekend.
Zero degrees...gooood lerd that's chilly.
Thank you for using the term "primary suite". Looks great so far!! 🫶
Thank you for checking out the video! Is it common in your area to refer to bedrooms as primary and secondary?
lol
Some sexy azzz plumbahhs
Why would you mount the head before drywall is done?
Normally we would not do It that way, but the customer requested it. It is mounted in 1/2” plywood that’s about 2” in behind all the way around so they can easily slide drywall behind without an issue. Not an uncommon practice around here. Thanks for the question!
No drip leg?
I helped with that bad boy right there
Nice!
What color is that..? Broken arm purple..?
I want my shop spray foamed...I better win PB soooooon. Looks epic in that crib.
Nice!
